It was a matter of trust but verify. Iran was allowing IAEA inspectors into the country to make sure their usage of nuclear materials was peaceful, that was the point.

Now that the inspection regime has collapsed, the Iranians can do whatever they please.

And only one candidate has bragged he can do horrible things on Fifth Avenue and not lose supporters.

We had an agreement and an inspection regime with Iran.

It wasn't perfect, but it was better than nothing, which is what we have now that Trump tanked the deal.
