WASHINGTON — Several White House advisers and personal associates of President Trump have urged him to hire an experienced outside lawyer to help him deal with issues arising from a surging controversy over whether his campaign had ties to Russia, according to several people briefed on the conversations.

The recommendations came even before a special counsel was named Wednesday to lead the investigation into any collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russian officials.

Trump’s aides and allies were said to be especially concerned by the revelation that James Comey, the FBI director fired by Trump, has contemporaneous, detailed memos reconstructing conversations with the president.

Following Complaints About Trump/Putin Joke, FCC Won't Take Action Against Colbert

Earlier this month, late-night host Stephen Colbert caused all kinds of outrage — especially among the right — when he delivered an anti-Trump monologue that included a joke about the president’s mouth being Vladimir Putin’s “c*ckholster.”

Well, following the Late Show broadcast, the FCC received more than five thousand complaints with concerns over indecency and hate speech, among other objections. Today, the agency let it be known that no action will be taken against the host or the program.

In a statement obtained by Variety, the FCC noted that there was the joke didn’t break any rules:

“Consistent with standard operating procedure, the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has reviewed the complaints and the material that was the subject of these complaints,” the FCC statement said. “The Bureau has concluded that there was nothing actionable under the FCC’s rules.”

Pretty quiet today...I think the righties are pooped out..

Trump needs to ‘lawyer up,’ obstruction of justice is against the law:

“President Trump asked two of the nation’s top intelligence officials in March to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government, according to current and former officials.

Trump made separate appeals to the director of national intelligence, Daniel Coats, and to Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency, urging them to publicly deny the existence of any evidence of collusion during the 2016 election.”

Unnamed again. Could be true, but I would imagine it's another case of fake news to raise more suspicion.

Coats would not answer that question in public hearings today but said he would in a classified setting. He said he wasn't there to speak about any one individual.

At least they had 44 senate hearings unlike the repub senator's are having. They only sent out personal invitations for certain individuals to reply to them on input by today May 23rd. They have kept theirs a complete secret.
