Affluenza teen case moved to Adult Court

Judge rules ‘affluenza’ teen to be moved to adult court, could face 40 years

Oh the karma! I hope someone in Texas gets him to violate probation again..he needs 40 years....there ain't no way this punk goes 10 years without another violation and its outrageous he only gets 120 days in jail for this violation.
I wonder what would've happened to him if he was bla--.... meh nvm too tired to go there

If he were a minority in Texas he would have gotten seven years the least and should have gotten life no matter the color of his damn skin. I drink, am a proud drunk, and will not drive while drunk, so fuck the little bastard!

in reality his legal status is this....he will be held for about 4 months ....the crimes as a juvvie will remain juvvie....they did this to grab him on future violations....if he is smart.....as soon as his probation is over...he will leave the country...really his only option

Texas 'affluenza' teen jailed for two years
Wed, 13 Apr 2016 - A Texas teen who avoided prison over a fatal drink-driving crash by claiming he suffered from "affluenza" has been sentenced to nearly two years in jail.
In 2013, Ethan Couch killed four people when he rammed his truck into a crowd, but he avoided prison. On Wednesday, the 19-year-old was ordered to serve four consecutive 180-day jail sentences - one for each of his victims. He broke his probation when he fled to Mexico in December.

It is thought he took flight because a video emerged of him at a house party, and any evidence he had been drinking alcohol might have seen him put behind bars. A psychologist at his original trial argued that his privileged upbringing meant his parents had not taught the then 16-year-old a sense of responsibility. The expert called the condition "affluenza", a term not recognised by the American Psychiatric Association.

Couch was sentenced to 10 years' probation and a stint in a rehabilitation centre. That sentence was roundly criticised at the time as too lenient. Although prosecutors were limited due to Couch's age, his current sentence was longer than expected. If he had violated his probation as an adult, he could have faced decades in prison. No longer a minor, Couch will serve his time in an adult prison.

He killed 4 people, violated parole by partying and posting about it on social media, and fled the country.

And gets 120 days in prison.

Meanwhile Tamir Rice is a thug who deserved death.

Welcome to America.
