Yet the DOJ/FBI had NOTHING but the Steele Dossier and news reports that were based on that dossier, and that is not supposed to be the way our gov't agencies work. To this day, nothing substantial in that dossier has been verified, otherwise you can be sure the Mueller investigation would have said so in the report; for Christ sakes, they used Russian freakin' agents as sources! The FBI was already investigating Russian interference in our elections when they received information from the Australian government that the Trump campaign was involved. They properly investigated the information. The investigation was never leaked until after the election. On the other hand, the FBI announced they were re-opening the investigation into Clinton's e-mails the weekend before the election.

Comey later confirmed that parts of the dossier was confirmed and some was unconfirmed. Rosenstein signed the FISA documents not Clapper , Brennan or even Comey. No one has seen the FISA documents so you have no clue what is in those documents. The surveillance on Page was not sought until after Page left the Trump campaign.
