Albert Einstein: Why Socialism?

Had Einstein seem what Socialism did to Detroit he say, "Socialism? What the fuck was I thinking???!"

You mean capitalism? I'm pretty sure that Detroit is located in the U.S. and the U.S. is a capitalistic society.

If he wanted to see modern day example of socialism, there are plenty of actual examples of socialism to point to. Successful ones even.

the US is capitalist all over
it was left-wing politics that devastated Detroit leftard

Leftist stewardship in Detroit isn't what destroyed that once great city but 52 consecutive years of Dem mayors certainly didn't help.

Odd that the USA didn't suffer the same fate as Detroit. Did Detroit practice a different version of this "Capitalism"?

No one here understands Capitalism. Don't even bother trying to explain Socialism. Capitalism comes before Socialism BTW.

Capitalism is an almost exclusively Anglo-American phenomenon as it is practiced to day.

You too easily confuse Corporatism and Capitalism.

Rookie mistake.

Some cultures don't do well under a Capitalist economic structure.

Anybody that knows anything about economics and cultures knows that not all cultures can adapt to the stringent discipline necessary as individuals to make Capitalism work.

That's why socialism isn't really all that bad of an idea for some cultures, some societies. They're just not mature enough, as a culture, to make Capitalism work.

Ours is. And Capitalism works better than any system ever devised. Period.

Capitalism provides the most affluence for the highest percentage of people of any economic system in the history of Man.

It is also the only system that can support a truly free society. ALL other forms of economics require a more restrictive, less free society.

Unfortunately, our Country, our Society, our Culture is becoming mixed to the point that we have a large minority of people who are culturally immature and can't fathom the repsonsiblities required to make a Free Society and and a Market Based Free Economy work.

Nowhere else, except in the mature cultures of America and Britain, does Capitalism have the base required for success.

And Britain is falling by the wayside. Has been for a while now. But even though they werre largely responsible for getting the ball rolling, they never fully embraced Capitalism the way America did.

Which is why we passed them by over a Century ago.

Think about that for a minute.

At one time, the British Empire ruled 1/3 (one-third) the Land Surface of the earth and were the undisputed masters of the Oceans. Nobody challenged them on the Open Sea. Nobody.

And in just over a Century, in just over a 100 years.... We smoked them.

We have been the source of virtually all the great leaps in science, industry, finance, peace-keeping, fairness, inventions, productivity, social advances...... Everything, for the last 100 years.

Nobody even gets close.

Why?

Are we superior Human Beings? No Nazis for me, thank you.

Are we better educated? Hell no. Not even close. Never have been.

The answer is simple. It is as clear as day, as obvious as the nose on your face.

All you gotta do is look. Open your eyes and look.....

It's our form of economics which supports our form of government.

You can't have one without the other. It just simply can't be done.

If you want a FREE Country, you MUST have a FREE Economy.

But the people on the 'left' (a misunderstood term) are too stupid to see that.

which is why I refer to them as dimocraps. They're just stupid.

Case in point.

Appeal to authority fallacy.

Einstein was a brilliant physicist. He was NOT an economist.

I believe Einstein also said doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity that would seem to be a pretty accurate take on socialism given the number of countries who have tried it and failed with it.

The U.S. didn't suffer through a recession?

I guess it was just that liberal media lying to us again.

And yet the most successful and prosperous countries today all have many more elements of socialism than we do here in the U.S. Why is that?

So we had socialism happening in this country before Obama was president?

When did it start? During Bush? Reagan?
