I got a buddy that always goes to the one in his town, and swears by it. He actually got angry that I never looked into the one in my neighborhood. So I actually went into it, and checked it out.

meh, I was not impressed.

They use many many tactics to externalize the cost of doing business onto costumers, and you only save a few bucks on your entire grocery bill. The whole experience is . . cringey to be honest.

I don't even care much for the self-check out at the stores I do use, TBH.

I don't like the customers, the staff, or the selection at ALDI's.

If you like shopping at a miserly store, around short and snippy costumers, with cut rate selection, at a store run by Ebenezer Scrooge that treats their employees like indentured servants? This store is for you.

The store I use, all the costumers are polite, and don't need bribes to return their carts, they do it for fee because they love the store and the community.

It is the right thing to do.
