Alexandro Cortez and College Fraud

She is right , we need to quit giving these large corps tax incentives.
Who is this 'we' you speak of?

People who need jobs?

Its called reverse socialism. Robbing the poor to put money into the wealthy.
How were poor people robbed?

Tax incentives are simply funds left in the pockets of their rightful owner, no poor people get robbed.

Who do you think pays taxes. So all wealthy and filthy rich should not pay taxes?? Trump would agree, so would republicans.

The rich pay the vast majority of taxes ya nimrod.

How does a state properly fund education if the tax revenue normally collected is funneled back to the job creators so we can have jobs?
The amount of incentives is far less than the repaid taxes from the newly created jobs, sweetie. That's like debating, which is the most, the million invested in incentives for businesses to hire new people or the billion those employees are able to put back into the economy and taxes from their lucrative jobs, created by incentives? Do the math. I didn't, but I do understand what an incentive is. It's a win-win proposition. The opposite is a lose-lose situation, which keeps the wealthy class small and the serf class huge.
Right, you want to shift the tax burden back onto the beggars.

It's only a win win for the job creators.

Half the damn country pay no fed taxes.

From the Marxist perspective, this deal and all the others like it, serves to highlight the dominant material relationship.

Yep, letting people trade and labor for what they want instead of being spoon fed by the government is a thing that Marxists definitely oppose.

Depends on your definition of rich.

If by the Rich, you mean the top 1%, which I am in and I am not rich by any means, the top 1% are 15% of all income, but the top 40% (minus the top 1%) have 42% of all income and pay more in taxes rate per person as a percentage due to Social Security taxes that the top 1% does not pay in the same rates due to the cap on SocSec.

The Middle Class pays most of all federal taxes, though the rich pay a higher share.

We just miss the 1% by 50k.

AOC is the symptom of what happens when the rich game the system to get numbskulls into college ahead of their betters. AOC is an Affirmative Action Baby.

Ocasio-Cortez’s ignorance proves admissions fraud is the symptom, not cause, of America’s education crisis

American universities have never considered academic merit the sole criterion for admittance. The parents caught up in Tuesday’s sting simply exploited this reality to a criminal extreme.

An even more troubling question is not how the deficient students matriculated but how they graduated. Over his six-decade career at Harvard, Professor Harvey Mansfield has witnessed grade inflation reach such ludicrous heights that he now gives students two different grades: one that will appear on their transcripts and another that they deserve.

In 2017, Yale changed its course requirements such that an English major may now graduate without ever having read Shakespeare. A 2007 survey from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute showed that college students graduate with less knowledge of history, politics, and economics than they had before they entered. The admissions scam succeeded for so long because everyone knew once the sub-par students made it into these schools they were unlikely to encounter any real scholarly rigor.

So what is a college degree worth these days? Millennial congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez majored in Economics and graduated cum laude from a private university that costs nearly $70,000 per year. Since entering Congress, she has struggled to articulate even basic economic concepts.

Last month, AOC blocked Amazon from relocating tens of thousands of jobs near her congressional district because she failed to understand the difference between a tax incentive and a slush fund. On Tuesday, during congressional testimony, Ocasio-Cortez appeared bemused as Wells Fargo CEO explained the basic function of a bank. If Ocasio-Cortez represents the quality of an Economics degree from BU, the university should lose its accreditation.

The liberal arts enable us to understand and earn our liberty. Unlike professional and mechanical education, the liberal arts do not train students for any particular job. They are literally the arts of freedom, and no society that abandons liberal education can remain free for long. Unfortunately, the left’s decades-long effort to subvert liberal education through pseudo-academic disciplines, administrative bloat, and outright censorship have transformed even our nation’s most elite universities into little more than decadent indoctrination camps.
AOC is way better at communicating her ideas than Trump or you.

The problem with the Amazon move was the destruction of a neighborhood by importing all these people with higher salaries making this area too expensive for the current residents to live there.

You are the stupid fuck who only looked at one side of the economics.

But in Truth, all Americans are Rich in Historical terms beyond measure.

We are so blessed here, to have been born in this great nation, and I cannot thank God enough or often enough for the privilege of being an American.

Only a Marxist nutball could call our nations accomplishments garbage like AOC did.

Poor people get robbed because they are just plain stupid. Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

Bah, poor people are not stupid.

People who buy lottery tickets are stupid, but not all poor people categorically.
You know, that's quite true, but I feel sorry for those who buy lottery tickets. 25 million of them are sold, only one ticket wins. The odds are horrendous, but some people get happy just thinking how nice it would be if they had a cash cow. Unfortunately, when people win something big for next to nothing, you often hear of their misery when everyone who knows them wants a no-pay-back load to buy a business, but go on a cruise instead, and the first thing you know, the jackpot has dwindled down to nothing and they even sometimes go in debt. It's sad. My heart goes out to them. I worked hard all my life, but my husband made the good investments. Unfortunately, I lost him a couple of years ago, and am afraid to spend any of the assets he earned. It's not fair that he didn't get the chance to travel and do all the things he wanted us to do together. His illness sidelined him for 4 years, then he was gone. Not fair. I wanted him to have a wonderful life after the good life he spent this side of heaven. Gotta take a break to cry a little. Bye, guys and dolls.

Your husbands good life was not a waste; doing good is its own reward and he is now receiving a far better reward, I am sure. But he probably misses you very badly as much as you miss him.

That being said, dont jump the gun on things. God calls us home and we cannot cut in line.

Thanks, Jim, but I'm pretty sure the good lord has him busy already. He had an unusual sense of making people laugh. He kept me laughing for 44 years, and I saw him make a room of 500 people laugh their butts off several Christmas parties in Wyoming where he served as chief engineer of power for a 3-state area. God probably took him home early to cheer up some angels. If they were looking over mankind, I'm sure they needed some cheering up, and he was the right person to do just that. I'd say he's got his hands full of thinking up ways to make angels laugh, although he had it down to a science for every day laughter while here. Just remembering that cheers me up. Thanks for letting me talk about him. It helps to be reminded he has his mind on higher things right now and is doing good up there making sad tasks more of a joy for them..
