Here is what 88 different psychological studies conducted between 1958 and 2002 that involved 22,818 people from 12 different countries found:

While not all conservatives are authoritarians; all highly authoritarian personalities are political conservatives.

The fucking shit you post...

Simply amazing.

Great Authoritarians from the 20th century:

Vlad Lenin - Bolshevik
Josef Stalin - Bolshevik
Benito Mussolini - Bolshevik then Fascist
Adolf Hitler - German Socialist Workers Party
Mao Tse Tung - Maoist
Ho Chi Minh - Maoist
Pol Pot - Maoist
Kim Sung Il - Maoist
Fidel Castro - Bolshevik
Daniel Ortega - Bolshevik

What is the common thread here? Oh that's right, they're all fucking socialists....

To that list, while not viscious dictators, let's add authoritarian personalities:
Barack Obama
Harry Reid
Nancy Pelosi
Barney Frank
Chris Dodd
Maxine Waters
Charlie Rangal
Hillary Clinton
Charles Schumer
. . . .we could add a whole bunch more but I think the point is made. What do these have in common? They are all liberal Democrats.

Anybody who holds high elective office and holds the power to determine what legislation will or will not be passed or is in a position to dictate policy is an 'authoritarian personality'.

So, people are in California prisons who have not been convicted of crimes? Really?

People are in California prisons for crimes that do not warrant prison time. .

Do not warrant according to...you? And judges, juries, public prosecutors, the media, police...all colluding to enrich prison guards? Yeah.....you'll forgive me for suspecting you have some personal agenda here.

I do have a personal agenda. I believe we were better before becoming a police state.

{Between 1990 and 2005, California’s prison population increased by 73%—nearly three times faster than the general adult population. At the end of 2010, California state prisons held about 163,000 adults, down from a peak of 172,000 in 2006. Even so, California penal institutions are operating at 175% of their design capacity, prompting the Supreme Court to order the transfer or release of more than 30,000 prisoners within two years.}

Interesting how that is also the period of the sharpest decline in crime rate since WWII.

That kind of hyperbolic emoting just makes you sound like some loony Ron Paul supporter.

Which sort of blows out of the water the theory that crime is a result of poverty or people having hard times doesn't it.

Back before the age of entitlements--looking at the great depression coupled with the dust bowl in the 30's, rationing and tough austerity measures during the 40's, severe drought and other challenges in the 50's--yeah there were a few government program then but very few people were getting government help during those times--but the crime rates were low.

I was watching a news interview with an economics professor this morning--I don't remember the name of the university--who at the beginning of his freshman economics class asks his students to write an essay of what the American dream means to them. He was stunned at the more recent essays that revealed that most of the students considered this the American dream:

1. Free healthcare
2. Fee tuition
3. The government provides the down payment for a house
4. Lots of time off and great vacations.
5. Rich people pay all of the taxes.

When he askes the students if they got any instruction on the theories of John Locke, Adam Smith, and other great fathers of modern economics, not one was familiar with those names.

We need to close down all the public schools folks and start over with education. It ain't doing the job anymore.
