We don't need more than minimal national standards on state issued ID's and people that have US birth certificates that qualify under the 14th amendment should have a right to being given ID's that qualify.

But if you won a $100 prize in your name at a local car dealer, then you would be asked for ID. Why don't we do it for people who are making a claim on thousands of dollars of US welfare benefits and taking American jobs and voting in our elections?

The answer is know for some time now; because too many Republican bidnessmen (Business Round table, Chamber of Commerce) make a windfall hiring this black market labor and too many Dimocrats look forward to all these illegals voting, if they are not already.

No one is 'required' to 'prove' he has health insurance, opting to pay the tax instead.

And undocumented immigrants are indeed required to prove they're authorized to enter the country, or have a good cause claim for refugee status; lacking either will result in being deported.
