SF has always been known to be a different sort of place--but now it is just a common shithole. It is a shame but what can you expect for the place that spawned Harvey Milk, Diane Feinstein, Nancy Piglosi, Willie Brown and Kamala Harris.

The funny thing is that up until the early sixties SF considered itself the only cultured city on the west coast and a runner up to NY for the most cultured city in the USA.

More rooming houses. Singles don't need a full apartment. A large house renting out bedrooms and a house kitchen.

Right, you are. SF has always had street people. Those who take their "talents" to the tourist areas to entertain. Even the always entertaining and startling Bush Man who has caught me off guard numerous times. Those people always had homes to go to. This latest scourge of vagrants in the city are nothing more than unsanitary scum that the city doesn't seem to have to will to rid itself of.
