A resident of a high rise condominium building is suing the building and his Homeowner's Ass'n due to an injury he sustained while throwing out his trash into a trash chute.

This is a perfect example of why the US needs to enact "loser pays" laws for the civil courts.
This guy is suing the wrong people, but of course this isn't about who may be negligent, this is not to stop someone so the next guy doesn't become injured. This is about MONEY. Greed.
It is my hope that the building management litigates this well into the next decade.
