Federalist didn't write the article. This is almost certainly untrue and the Federalist provides no substantiation of this
“Indictable in a criminal court”He resigned to avoid an impeachment and conviction in the Senate which would have made him indictable in a criminal court.
After found guilty via COTUS protocols.“Indictable in a criminal court”
Obviously no immunity
A pardon was given after he left office jackass. No impeachmentAfter found guilty via COTUS protocols.
Little difference.
I did. Did you?Do some research, it applies to criminal issues as well.
The immunity ends when the president is removed by the Senate. If that doesn't happen the immunity stands. Trump was not removed, thus his immunity remained until his term ended. You folks are going to be sadly disappointed.“Indictable in a criminal court”
Obviously no immunity
Yeah......and your reply overlooks much.I did. Did you?
Or do you just believe whatever the American Thinker says unquestioningly?
Your reply omits much.Yeah......and your reply overlooks much.
The defining thing would be whether or not they were actually performing official duties.Your reply omits much.
Im not arguing about civil immunity. That’s true.
Criminal immunity? Hell no. We can easily find Congress members and Judges who have prosecuted for criminal activity involving official duties.
Nonsense. Obviously. Nixon was not removed by the Senate and he accepted a pardon to avoid prosecutionThe immunity ends when the president is removed by the Senate. If that doesn't happen the immunity stands. Trump was not removed, thus his immunity remained until his term ended. You folks are going to be sadly disappointed.
Like voting on a bill? That’s clearly an official duty. The defining thing would be whether or not they were actually performing official duties.
Wow...where you learn that?Nonsense. Obviously. Nixon was not removed by the Senate and he accepted a pardon to avoid prosecution
He left because they had filed articles of impeachment and the writing was on the wall, Mr Peckerhead.A pardon was given after he left office jackass.
He was offered a pardon because he would have been removed and his resignation put the whole thing to rest. You loons are simply vindictive jackasses who opened a really stupid can of worms.Nonsense. Obviously. Nixon was not removed by the Senate and he accepted a pardon to avoid prosecution
Hey dope he took that pardon AFTER HIS RESIGNATIONHe was offered a pardon because he would have been removed and his resignation put the whole thing to rest. You loons are simply vindictive jackasses who opened a really stupid can of worms.
Trump dropped the Hillary allegations as a show of good faith to move the nation forward. When given the change to do the right thing you clowns failed and created division and strife. You'll probably whine the loudest when this all comes back to bite Democrats.
Wow! How stupid are you? Since he didn't pardon himself, obviously it would have to be the next president to pardon him. Maybe next time I'll spell it out in crayons, that's more your speed.Hey dope he took that pardon AFTER HIS RESIGNATION
YOU MORON
WTF are you talking about?Wow! How stupid are you? Since he didn't pardon himself, obviously it would have to be the next president to pardon him. Maybe next time I'll spell it out in crayons, that's more your speed.
Taking brides is an official duty of congress?Like voting on a bill? That’s clearly an official duty.
Ever hear of Abscam?
Voting on a law is the official duty, and you’re claiming they have criminal immunity for official duties which means they can’t be prosecuted for these bribes.Taking brides is an official duty of congress?
You may be onto something......the politically correct version is lobbying.
Not in a rented room of a seedy motel.Voting on a law is the official duty, and you’re claiming they have criminal immunity for official duties which means they can’t be prosecuted for these bribes.
Members of Congress and federal judges are immune from civil and criminal prosecution for their official acts. Currently, presidents are only immune from civil prosecution for their official acts. That is because the Supreme Court has never had to decide whether that extends to criminal prosecutions, as no president has ever faced a criminal prosecution until the Democrats’ four criminal indictments against Trump. It’s pretty obvious that Congress doesn’t have criminal immunity. Neither does the judiciary.
