Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò’s powerful letter to President Trump: Eternal struggle between good and evil playing out right now

nahhh, he's a disgruntled bishop who was denied a promotion to Cardinal, and also fired by the pope as emissary to the US for the Pope.

He was fired because he was the bishop emissary for the pope who setup a meeting with the pope and that county clerk from Kentucky who was refusing to follow the Law, and issue a marriage license to that gay couple,.... during the controversy,

and never told the Pope ahead of time.....

he's a trouble maker.... it appears....

No truer words have ever been spoken by a Catholic Archbishop. I heard about his letter yesterday, on VCY America.

While not a Catholic myself and even though I have some issues with them, I do appreciate their staunch anti-abortion stance and the fact that Archbishops like Vigano aren't aligned with the current socialist-leaning Pope.

LOL!! We can both read Vigano's bio on wiki and take totally different perspectives.
Vigano is a very smart guy who spent his life rocking the boat in every position he held, there is nothing as dangerous as an honest man.
He wasn't fired?? He retired at 75 as required.
In 2009, Viganò was appointed Secretary General of the Vatican City Governatorate. In that role he established centralized accounting procedures and accountability for cost overruns that helped turn a US$10.5 million deficit for the city-state into a surplus of $44 million in one year.
Maybe he could help Mnuchin fix the US deficit?

After accusing the Catholic Church of all sorts of criminal conspiracies in the last couple of decades, the radical left finally found a (retired) Priest that they like. One who criticizes the President of the United States. No surprise here.

and the surplus likely went to the victims of pedophilia by the priests here in the USA.....(said in my snarkiest voice) I was born Catholic, so I guess I'm allowed to be disappointed!

I do not think the Bishop should be involved in politics, as Christ spoke against it.... give unto God what is God;s, and give unto Caesar...what is his.... he could have given his message.and been more in line with God, without bringing politics in to it, and division..... imo.

Totally understand, me too, WTF can you say about a religion when so many priests are so bad.
IMHO Vatican-II was a disaster. Priests should be allowed to marry like Lutherans are or Byzantine Catholics were.
At least they'd be straight.

The "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are Gods" saying refers to paying taxes on earth, and to saving souls for God. The Church should always preach against abortion, or other policies that are against church teaching. Politics is always fair game for the Church, except the US bishops prefer to suck up to democrats for their shekels.

Here is how Archbishop Vigano's prayer for USA begins:

"Almighty and Eternal God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords: graciously turn your gaze to us who invoke You with confidence.

Bless us, citizens of the United States of America; grant peace and prosperity to our Nation; illuminate those who govern us so that they may commit themselves to the common good, in respect for Your holy Law."
