Arizona Judge Rejects Kari Lake’s Effort to Overturn Her Election Loss

What was your prediction for the trial that she just lost? Were you knowledgeable and qualified enough to correctly predict her loss?
Again, for retards like you: I declined to make a prediction. You dope.

Only when the numbers and evidence support it.

Like the fact that in AZ, the GOP won the AZ State House, State Senate seats, and US House seats. Kari Lake also performed wonderfully across the state, except miraculously in Maricopa where supposedly 25% of Election Day GOP voters went for Hobbs.

It’s easy to spot fraud, and it is rampant in Maricopa.
It’s an article of religious faith among Republicans that when a Republican candidate loses an election it must be due to ‘fraud’ and ‘cheating.’

Republicans are too stupid and arrogant to acknowledge the fact that the Republican candidate lost because a majority of the voters rejected the Republican candidate and the Republican agenda – having nothing to do with ‘fraud’ or ‘cheating.’

Every indication is there. This isn't a tabula rasa which no one could have possibly interpreted or predicted.

This was an utterly obvious outcome that pretty much everyone outside the right echo chamber saw miles away.

And here we have an appellant court and Arizona Supreme Court that can still be appealed to. And you're still pretending like the outcome is some grand mystery.

Its not. Its even MORE obvious than the outcome we predicted almost as soon as Kari levied the bullshit claims. Kari is going to lose again.

They are hamstrung by an unshakable and unearned sense of entitlement. They feel they are *owed* power, regardless of what the people decide.

Its one of the reasons they're getting more comfortable with calling for the termination of the constitution, with the idea of attacking cops in their 'civil war' and rush on the capitol.

And why they're so adamant to argue that we're not a democracy.
Correct.

And conservatives remain on ongoing threat to democracy.

It would require personal responsibility for choosing such dogshit candidates. And the abandonment of their unearned sense of entitlement where they believe they are *owed* power the people haven't chosen them for.

Neither move is something most conservatives are capable of. So they invent new excuses for their failures, each more elaborate and sniveling than the last.

In the party of personal responsibility, its *always* someone else's fault.

What would USMB do without the legal expertise of Backagain, who after numerous election-denier losses since 2020 came to the conclusion that,

1) A trial will happen in Arizona.
2) An appeal will occur.

There has never been a reversal of an election in the manner Kari is demanding in US history.

So what?
Nor is Arizona law ambiguous on the standards for overturning an election: Fraud that would have changed the outcome.
That’s not the totality of it.
There's simply no evidence of it.
In your unsupported estimation.
Making the odds that the appellant court or Supreme Court of Arizona would do something that is absolutely unprecedented in the nation or State's history wildly unlikely.
Again. It may not be “likely.” But that’s not the question. If the improper and invalid way that election got handled undermined the legitimacy of the claimed outcome, the question should become “why not negate it?”
The appellant court will toss her request.

Maybe. Indeed, it may even be probable. So what?
As will the Supreme Court of Arizona if she tries to appeal again.
Maybe. Maybe even likely. And?

Right wingers be like, " It's likely that we will be unable to prove our case over and over. So?"

Translation: you too expected this outcome for which you rooted. Rule of law and fairness be damned.

Not at all. I’ve expressed virtually no hope about how it will turn out. No need to pad your pair with made-up bullshit.

It seems unlikely that she will prevail. But that’s not the same thing as claiming to know what will happen.

So something utterly unprecedented is not as likely as something that has happened every time there's been a gubernatorial election in the history of our country.

You're pretending that the outcome is unpredictable and beyond guessing. But its wildly probable and utterly predictable: Lake is going to lose yet again.

Her 'evidence' doesn't prove her case. Says who? Says the Arizona Judiciary.

How do you think we were able to surmise EXACTLY how this case would go, down to the standards that Lake was held to under the law to the what points her arguments and evidence would fail?

If its just guessing.....then we're fucking amazing.
You should be begging us to give you lottery numbers.

Right wingers be like, " It's likely that we will be unable to prove our case over and over. So?"
Nope. Instead, some of us recognize a sad reality. If you play any gambling games in Vegas, it is likely the ”house” will win. Over time, in fact, it’s inevitable.

Some games are know. To be rigged. Most, in fact.

And the right’s unwillingness to accept the outcome of fair, honest, lawful, accurate elections, their propensity for lying about ‘fraud,’ ‘cheating,’ and elections being ‘stolen’ is consistent with the fact that conservatism remains an ongoing threat to our democratic institutions.

I expected the outcome that the evidence and standards of law indicated: her loss.

Arizona doesn't overturn elections on speculation and conjecture. Lake had 4 points she had to prove:

1) That the machines were intentionally sabotaged
2) That the intent of the sabotage was to turn the election against her
3) That the sabotage actually disenfranchised Arizona voters to such a degree
4) That Lake herself would have won

Lake had already shown her hand with her 70 page brief. It didn't support ANY of that. We (along with most legal experts) predicted that Lake would fail to prove intentional, fail to prove disenfranchisement and fail to prove that she won.

And we were right. The legal experts were right.

You ignored all of that, and pretended it was unknowable and unpredictable. Demonstrating that 1) you wanted her to win 2) you knew her case was dogshit.
