Watergate Articles Of Impeachment

ARTICLE 1

"In his conduct of the office of President of the United States, Richard M. Nixon, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has prevented, obstructed, and impeded the administration of justice, in that:

"On June 17, 1972, and prior thereto, agents of the Committee for the Re-election of the President committed unlawful entry of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in Washington, District of Columbia, for the purpose of securing political intelligence. Subsequent thereto, Richard M. Nixon, using the powers of his high office, engaged personally and through his close subordinates and agents, in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry; to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful covert"

Your analogy fall miserably short, Nixon actually destroyed evidence, that's a big no-no. Trump, not so much.

.

Not so much? How much did he destroy?

obstruction continues to grow on a daily basis by Trump. There's plenty of evidence, criminal or not. He fully plans to fight any, and all oversight as long as he can by any means.

Heres the issue - not a single Republican Senator will vote to impeach Trump. The House Democrats could impeach him as many times as the Republican House voted to defund Obamacare and come out with the same results.

Nothing.
Sounding more and more like a clean sweep for democrats in 2020, presidency, senate, and house.

I appreciate the link, it was fascinating....
Tell us why Democrats suddenly believe obstruction rises to the level of an impeachable offense.

dont tell nixon it wasnt . or bill clinton

:auiqs.jpg:

For both former President Nixon and Clinton, there were underlying felonies committed by the President. Not so with President Donald J. Trump.

Cute try though.

Even if true, there's no need to be an "underlying crime" to obstruct justice. There may be a crime, there might not be enough evidence to prove so beyond a reasonable doubt..

What obstruction took place? Obstruction, not a discussion about firing someone who never gets fired or a discussion that you prefer someone did not testify, but they did testify. Or they withheld papers when the Trump administration turned over 1.4 million documents, the most of any administration.

I hope they keep on fiddling with this issue. They'll accomplish nothing and will have nothing to show in November 2020.

Q. What obstruction took place

A. Every time Trump tweeted or spoke on the issue of Russian's influence on our election, calling it a Witch Hunt and calling the MSM "fake news". Promising to release his tax records and never releasing them, and calling his attorney a "rat". Just a summary of things you know and will refuse to acknowledge. Consciousness of Guilt is so obvious only a biased hack refuses to recognize.

So calling names, now in your mind, constitutes a felony crime. Who knew that now freedom of speech is banned for Republicans?

Nothing.

The Senate does not impeach the President they either find him not guilty or they convict by a trial on the Senate floor. Not one House member would vote not to impeach and not one Republican Senator would vote to convict.

So in my opinion all you have is another example of Democrats and Republicans putting party over country.

At a time when Russia sought to undermine and disrupt the electoral process in the U.S. - undermining the Republic and the legitimacy of the U.S. government in the process - the Trump campaign sought and accepted help from Russia to win that election. They even went so far as to provide the Russians with information in the form of polling data so that Putin's henchmen could deploy their interference in a more targeted manner.

That should be an open and shut case for removal, even without the subsequent interference with the investigations into Trump's and Putin's misconduct.

It's merely adding insult to the already devastating injury that now Trump's underlings try to besmirch those who try to figure out what went on, and how to safeguard the Republic in the future, for being "divisive".

They started interfering in 2014, the President’s Administration knew what Russia was trying to do and did nothing until after the 2016 Presidential elections. I wonder why they didn’t stop the Russians right away.

Damn, you LIE soooooooo easily. Trump called the collusion delusion a witch hunt. He had no obligation to release his taxes and Cohen was a rat, he not only sang, he composed. Now he's trying to withdraw some of his guilty pleas as new charges are likely.

A Newyawk asshole talking like a Newyawk asshole, big whoop. Like all annoying as hell northeasterners, deserving of being shot on sight when they venture outside of their environs, but hardly impeachable.

For there to be obstruction it helps to have an actual crime to hide instead of manufacturing a crime and then seeing if you can trip him up lying or obstructing justice.

Sure. Just ask Flynn!

He's going to prison.

Please ALSO read Article 3......VERY RELEVANT to exactly what Trump is now doing....here's an excerpt....

.......has failed without lawful cause or excuse to produce papers and things as directed by duly authorized subpoenas issued by the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives on April 11, 1974, May 15, 1974, May 30, 1974, and June 24, 1974, and willfully disobeyed such subpoenas.

.

Indeed.

Statement: "So calling names, now in your mind, constitutes a felony crime"

Response: Don't put words in my comment. Your effort to do so is dishonest and despicable.

The irony in your post is the FACT that those supporters of Trump, Trump's press secretaries and Trump himself have made it a strategy to smear The Media and opponents of Trumpism (infamously noted for mendacity, malfeasance, misfeasance and nonfeasance) seek to silence dissent.
