Has Trump abused the power of the presidency & obstructed justice

  • Total voters
    65
  • Poll closed .
obstruction continues to grow on a daily basis by Trump. There's plenty of evidence, criminal or not. He fully plans to fight any, and all oversight as long as he can by any means.

Heres the issue - not a single Republican Senator will vote to impeach Trump. The House Democrats could impeach him as many times as the Republican House voted to defund Obamacare and come out with the same results.

Nothing.

Bombshell! It's the beginning of the end for Trump! The walls are closing in!
Tipping point! :aargh:

They want to criminalize winning an election.

Seriously? You've never outgrown posting idiot-grams?

For those who have not been around this MB for long, many may need to understand, Idiot-Gram, was created by me after I read a few posts by Mr. CrusaderFrank.

He also was in my mind when I first used "willfully ignorant" and "callous conservative" He's harmless, not very clever but does at times provide a good belly laugh in the midst of uncivil rhetoric. Likely he has a Court Jester on his family tree.

Watergate Articles Of Impeachment

ARTICLE 1

"In his conduct of the office of President of the United States, Richard M. Nixon, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has prevented, obstructed, and impeded the administration of justice, in that:

"On June 17, 1972, and prior thereto, agents of the Committee for the Re-election of the President committed unlawful entry of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in Washington, District of Columbia, for the purpose of securing political intelligence. Subsequent thereto, Richard M. Nixon, using the powers of his high office, engaged personally and through his close subordinates and agents, in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry; to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful covert"

I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean when Nixon resigned and we went to DEFCON 3. DEFCON 4 is a nuclear response. THERE IS NO DEFCON 5.

Assuming you were on a Warship, did the call for GQ's come over the 1MC with the ominous pharse, "this is not a drill"?

When will the prosecutions start for the Democrats, Media, and FBI who attempted a failed COUP? The three conspired, colluded, and lied in attempt to unseat a legally elected President because they wanted Hillary instead.

Don’t hold your breath.

Total waste of bandwidth.

You are feebly trying to compare apples with artichokes. With Watergate, there was an admitted underlying felony, a burglary. That was followed by a massive proven coverup. There were also secret recordings. NONE of that exists today.

Pathetically, Progressives want a coup. They want to impeach a duly elected president for no reason other than they lost and President Trump is doing a great job. More importantly, the investigations they started against the President, are backfiring and are now hot on their trail.
With the 2016 election, there was an admitted underlying felony, interference in the election by Russia. Several Russians have been indicted.

Trump attempted to obstruct Mueller's investigation into those crimes because he cannot handle the truth that he would not be president today were it not for the help he got from Russia.

It's funny that Comrade Donald's rubes claim, falsely, that Obama did nothing to stop Russian interference, isn't it. Considering Trump denied and denied and denied it was occurring, and then spent a lot of energy trying to obstruct the investigation into that interference, and even now his subordinates are forced to work around him to stop continued efforts by Russia to interfere in the 2018 and 2020 elections.

It is simply amazing how many of his own flaws, faults, and crimes that Trump projects onto others.

You've made an excellent point, and one that should be used to prosecute the guilty in Russiagate: The Democrats.

Thanks!

The truthful answer is yes, the president has attempted to Obstruct an Official Investigation (in to the Russian Interference in our election process etc.), which is a segment of Obstruction of Justice, (there are 10 examples of him doing this in the Mueller Report) and he has intimidated witnesses, another crime, and dangled pardons, another abuse of power.

Whether he will be impeached or they will even try, is another story.

At a time when Russia sought to undermine and disrupt the electoral process in the U.S. - undermining the Republic and the legitimacy of the U.S. government in the process - the Trump campaign sought and accepted help from Russia to win that election. They even went so far as to provide the Russians with information in the form of polling data so that Putin's henchmen could deploy their interference in a more targeted manner.

That should be an open and shut case for removal, even without the subsequent interference with the investigations into Trump's and Putin's misconduct.

It's merely adding insult to the already devastating injury that now Trump's underlings try to besmirch those who try to figure out what went on, and how to safeguard the Republic in the future, for being "divisive".

Nah. Let the voters have the right to say to him......."You're Fired"

With all the spit, furiously funny look, and don't forgot the posture!

That's your opinion. What are the facts, and evidence you have to support this? Don't you think if the Democrats, and Media had facts and evidence they would be all over Trump? At this point, their leadership (Pelosi, etc) has thrown in the towel because they have nothing to back up their allegations, and THEY KNOW IT. Evidently, you don't.

Please ALSO read Article 3......VERY RELEVANT to exactly what Trump is now doing....here's an excerpt....

.......has failed without lawful cause or excuse to produce papers and things as directed by duly authorized subpoenas issued by the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives on April 11, 1974, May 15, 1974, May 30, 1974, and June 24, 1974, and willfully disobeyed such subpoenas.

Thanks so much for your opinion, Mary. Someday (maybe) I might even take what you write as thoughtful.

Impeachment is a political - not legal - process.

A president can be removed from office via the impeachment process absent alleged criminal wrongdoing.

The people have the authority to determine whether a president has abused his power and obstructed justice, and remove him from office.

Trump has clearly done both.
