Asian-American Student Has Near-Perfect 1590 out of 1600 SAT Score and a 4.65 GPA, Gets Ugly Shock After Applications to Elite Universities

What ”rest of the story”? Racist colleges have decided that there are too many smart Asians, so they reject them.

And it’s not just colleges. The prestigious TJ High School - a competitive public high school in Virginia - announced that they had too many Asians acing the admissions test, and too few blacks. Since they knew they would run into trouble if they let in a boatload of blacks with mediocre exam scores while turning away bright Asians, they simply abolished the exam.

Admission by its very nature demands that some will be rejected.

Lower court had ruled that they were unfair but the next level court reversed that decision and said that they were fair in their policies. Asians appear to what to challenge racial diversity. Whenever they feel that one of their own has lost out because of the schools process in achieving diversity. They have brought this case and they lost when they accused TJ of being bias against Asians. Higher courts disagreed.

IF Asian score such high scores that other races then would other races accused the school of discrimination ? Its not always the highest test score but there is usually a minimum test score that has to be achieve.

Acceptance is based on the test scores and their are other factors that play in the selection such as community participation, etc.

I can understand why Asians are concerned and using test scores as the litmus test. But if Asians are accepted into the school, is it discrimination if some do not get accepted.

getting into the preferred school does not stop someone who is outstanding from achieving things in latter life.

Parents are just playing the race card.

Harvard got 56,937 applications for the class of 2027. They accepted only 3.4%. All of them would have been highly qualified, so how do you select when you can only admit a tiny fraction? None of these schools admit solely on gpa/test scores nor should they.
You support discrimination against introverts.

Color me unsurprised.

They won't say it, but the courts will take athletics into account and rule the same way they have in the past. Got to have dumb jocks to run an athletic department.
What is the use of having a sports team if you don't have any chance of winning. Losing every game will hardly inspire anyone to go to the game. At some point you have to have some athletic people. There test scores probably will not be the highest. Still there are other factors in consideration for going to a particular school.

THEIR test scores.

Just to point out which people oppose equality, here.

Well, if not getting in to the better school does not stop someone (an Asian) who is outstanding from achieving things later in life, why can’t the black who couldn’t score high enough to enter the better school go to an average school, since he could still achieve things later in life?

Damn! Only in the Usurper's America where the education system rejects the best qualified. The Department of Education needs to be abolished.

Happens all the time. Some Asian students have resorted to legally changing their surnames so the application doesn't "out" them. Some parents plan for all this years in advance by making sure their children don't develop "tells" like playing tennis or the violin, etc.

He hates meritocracy in education.

He loves meritocracy in sports.

It doesn't under the concept of what the future will be for anybody. Still the main point is just because they do not get into a school does not mean they will not be successful. Thus complaining because they got high scores and should be admitted based on test scores alone was is a false argument. Claiming discrimination is a false argument.
