Yes, of course months were lost due to the lying and cover-ups from the administration making that task much more difficult. AND we still don't have the whole story due to the president garnering partisan support through his opining about "phoney scandals"!!!!

A huge element about this scandal is the media bias. Put Bush 43 in place of Obama. The MSM would had been all over him if he had been repeating the YouTube video story. They would had destroyed Bush. There is no way Bush would had won reelection. If the media had treated Obama like they would had treated Bush, there is no way Obama would had won reelection either.

And no, Obama did not identify the event as terrorism the next day. He made a fleeting comment about terrorism. Days later he would not call it terrorism when being interview for 60 minutes.

The Bush Administration stood by it's talking points about the Iraq threat much longer than the Obama Administration stood by theirs on the Benghazi attacks.

This would hold a lot more weight if the Bush administration had tried to claim the 9-11 attacks were not terrorist attacks but the result of spontaneous actions over video.
