Bernie’s Big Rock Candy Mountain

9. Bernie Sanders may try to hide the appellation….but Bernie is a Marxist.

With Karl Marx the attack on private property became front and center. “The theory of the Communists can be summarized in a single sentence: Abolition of private property.”
Marx and Engels, “Manifesto of the Communist Party,” Great Books, p. 425

“…Marx almost always qualified ‘property’ with an adjective, usually disparaging: bourgeois, individual, personal, private, communal. He saw private property as an alienating force, ….as an effect of the stage through which ‘history’ was passing…..ancient, then feudal, and now bourgeois property.

He certainly believed that the immediate successor to private property would be state ownership, centrally controlled. And this would require ‘despotic inroads on the rights if property, and on the conditions of bourgeois production.”
Bethell, “The Noblest Triumph,” p.113-114

10. The French Revolution, Marx, Obama…the conclusion of two centuries here:

In September of 1991, the President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, was asked about the history and future of Communism:

“One of their more dramatic responses came to a question by Los Angeles actor Ben Stein, who asked whether the two leaders believed any country should live under communism.

Yeltsin answered first: "This experiment which was conducted on our soil was a tragedy for our people and it was too bad that it happened on our territory. It would have been better if the experiment had happened in some small country, to make it clear that it was a Utopian idea, although a beautiful idea."

Gorbachev said history has shown that "that model has failed which was brought about in our country. And I believe that this is a lesson not only for our people but for all peoples.GORBACHEV, YELTSIN SAY COMMUNISM FAILED USSR

Again?
"that model has failed ... a lesson not only for our people but for all peoples.

But, government school grads will line up to vote for it.

Assuming Trump can keep the economy going it should be an easy win for the Republicans in every part of government.

Most of the average people see just how far off the rails the left has gone. They understand that the left is trying to buy votes with all their givaeaway switch no real idea how to pay for them. They see the only policies that have been proposed is get Trump.

Sure you will have the hardcore crazies that will vote democrat even if the democrats promised to execute them. But most average Americans look at things like the economy, how their everyday life is, no new wars and they will vote what is best for them. The average American will look around at the hardcore blue cities and realize that they have no need of the country heading in that direction.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, Max.....

The Democrat Party is now running on full-blown anti-white racism, socialism, infanticide, opposition to free speech, substituting illegal alien voters for the American citizenry, and anti-Semitism…

And this....

stg043019dAPC20190430124646.jpg

Yet, a poll would show most Jewish folks will vote Democrat.

It's still an uphill battle.
Don't get me wrong people still need to get out and vote. We still need to be prepared as there will be democratic votes found on a backyard porch, some areas will have more voters then live in that area and all the other problems. We have already seen all the changes proposed because those on the left could not believe that they could not do what they wanted and still retain power.

The platform for the Democrat Party in 2020 will be "Make America Venezuela".

The same kind of dumbshits that voted Communism in to power Venezuela because they wanted free stuff are the same kind of dickheads in the US that vote Democrat because they want free stuff.

And….if Bernie the Hypocrite and Ocasio the Moron see the state as entitled to take your property and assign it to those “unwilling to work,” as she wrote in the Green New Deal…..
I guess I missed where Bernie said the state as entitled to take your property. I assume you're not referring to taxation since EVERYONE believes we all need to pay our share.

As you miss so very many things, I appears to fall to me to educate you.
  1. Professor Randy Barnett: “I have always been attracted to Madison’s view that there is no freestanding Spending Clause, but only a power to spend what is necessary and properly incident to the enumerated powers. Madison did not believe that the spending power grew out of the taxation power, but instead that all exercise of the spending power had to be incident to the other enumerated powers.” “Originalism,” Steven Calabresi, p. 263.
  2. Where is the explanation of what would be a ‘fair share’ for the wealthy to give up? Irving Kristol, as editor of ‘Public Interest,’ wrote to professors who had written about the unfairness of income distribution, asking them to write an article as to what a ‘fair distribution’ would be; he has never gotten that article. Irving Kristol, “Neoconservative: the Autobiography of an Idea,” p. 166

I know you aren't 'playing dumb'.....you simply are.

11. One must be quite a fool to favor socialism/communism. Yet….

"Bernie Sanders Finds Himself in a New Role as Front-Runner
...surpassing his rivals in early fundraising and establishing himself as an indisputable front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination."
Bernie Sanders Finds Himself in a New Role as Front-Runner | RealClearPolitics

A Marxist as the Democrat standard-bearer???? Yup.

Here we see the culmination of the Liberal control of government schooling: indoctrination, certainly not education. Time for the Democrats to be called the ‘know-nothing party.’ And for a remedial course in the history of socialism.

Let’s see what these morons are endorsing.

The program that Marx designed, and that Marxists like Bernie Sanders have planned:

“In the Communist Manifesto, there are ten measures that workers' parties are urged to put into effect immediately after their victory over the capitalists. By treating these suggestions as if they were already taken up, we can use this list as a basis for our picture of the first stage.

What Marx asks for are :
"l) Abolition of property in land and application of all Rents on land to public purposes.
2) A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3) Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4) Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5) Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6) Centralization of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
7) Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing in cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8) Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.(that means forced labor)
9) Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of population over the country. (forced resettlement)
10) Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its resent form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc., etc."
DIALECTICAL MARXISM: The Writings of Bertell Ollman

The motto should be “Vote Democrat…No Thinking Required”

I guess you missed where I asked where Bernie said the state as entitled to take your property.

1. I don't have an issue with Barnett. I think this country has taxation backwards. We are always saying taxes are too high, what we should be asking is what should the gov't be doing and then how do we pay for it.

2. What would be a ‘fair share’ for the wealthy to give up? The number is somewhere between 0% and 100%. I'm a big supporter of a progressive tax system since it offsets the burden that fixed taxes, e.g., on sales or gas, place on the poor and middle class. What the max rate should be? I have no real idea, but it is a discussion we should be having.

Please don't return with the same pretense.....better yet, don't come back.

Is Bernie running as a Marxist? I have seen your historical cut and paste hatchet job but I don't really care what he was 25 years ago only what he is today. By your logic Trump is a Democrat.

Yes, you illiterate, ignorant, buffoonish asswipe
I don't know if I'd go quite that far, but I like the cut of your jib.
So it should be easy for one of you to provide a link where he declares himself a Marxist (not a Socialist). Thanks in advance.

"While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

After graduating with a political science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda. There, he produced a glowing documentary on the life of socialist revolutionary Eugene Debs, who was jailed for espionage during the Red Scare and hailed by the Bolsheviks as “America’s greatest Marxist.”

In a 1918 speech in Canton, Ohio, [Eugene Victor] Debs reaffirmed his solidarity with Lenin and Trotsky, despite clear evidence of their violent plunder and treachery.

Sanders still hangs a portrait of Debs on the wall in his Senate office.

In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies.

After failed runs for Congress, Sanders in 1981 managed to get elected mayor of Burlington, Vt., where he restricted property rights for landlords, set price controls and raised property taxes to pay for communal land trusts. Local small businesses distributed fliers complaining their new mayor “does not believe in free enterprise.”

.... he named their city softball squad the “People’s Republic of Burlington” and the town’s minor league baseball team the “Vermont Reds.”

His radical activities didn’t stop at the water’s edge.

Sanders took several “goodwill” trips not only to the USSR, but also to Cuba and Nicaragua, where the Soviets were trying to expand their influence in our hemisphere.

In 1985, he traveled to Managua to celebrate the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. He called it a “heroic revolution.” Undermining anti-communist US policy, Sanders denounced the Reagan administration’s backing of the Contra rebels in a letter to the Sandinistas.

His betrayal did not end there. Sanders lobbied the White House to stop the proxy war and even tried to broker a peace deal. He adopted Managua as a sister city and invited Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega to visit the US. He exalted Ortega as “an impressive guy,” while attacking President Reagan.

“The Sandinista government has more support among the Nicaraguan people — substantially more support — than Ronald Reagan has among the American people,” Sanders told Vermont government-access TV in 1985.

..... honeymooned with his second wife in the USSR. He put up a Soviet flag in his office, shocking even the Birkenstock-wearing local liberals. At the time, the Evil Empire was on the march around the world, and threatening the US with nuclear annihilation.

Then, in 1989, as the West was on the verge of winning the Cold War, Sanders addressed the national conference of the US Peace Council — a known front for the Communist Party USA, whose members swore an oath not only to the Soviet Union but to “the triumph of Soviet power in the US.”

Today, Sanders wants to bring what he admired in the USSR, Cuba, Nicaragua and other communist states to America.

For starters, he proposes completely nationalizing our health care system and putting private health insurance and drug companies “out of business.” He also wants to break up “big banks” and control the energy industry, while providing “free” college tuition, a “living wage” and guaranteed homeownership and jobs through massive public works projects. Price tag: $18 trillion "

Sanders plans to not only soak the rich with a 90 percent-plus tax rate, while charging Wall Street a “speculation tax,” but hit every American with a “global-warming tax.”

Of course, even that wouldn’t cover the cost of his communist schemes; a President Sanders would eventually soak the middle class he claims to champion. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need, right? "http://nypost.com/2016/01/16/dont-be-fooled-by-bernie-sanders-hes-a-diehard-communist/.

I did not find anywhere Bernie calling himself a Marxist. I can call Trump any number of things but that doesn't make him one. You may call the facts that I provide whatever you wish.....but they remain facts.

Can you list the items above that the Marxist Sanders has repudiated?

Can you list the items above that the Marxist Sanders has disavowed????

No?

Not a single one????

I may just get tired of winning.

You dodged this question:

Will you vote for this Marxist?

Seems you have inadvertently revealed the sort of non-American you are, huh?

While you'd make Joe McCarthy proud, I'm not convinced Bernie is a Marxist. You'll forgive me if I think he knows more about his positions than you do.

As for voting for him? Depends on who he is running against.
