The Stand (1994)

Not all of King's big screen productions were good. King delivered some clunkers like Claiborne that never made sense and even a great actor like Anthony Hopkins in his prime couldn't make "Hearts in Atlantis" work.

A couple of King's short stories translated well to the screen. "Sometimes they come back" was pretty good. The movie sequels were usually terrible though. Salem's Lot 2 was bad.
