And I would go further and say that economic sanctions on civilian commerce is a war crime, in violation of the 1906 Geneva Conventions.
They also violate 1st amendment about freedom of political association, the 4th and 5th about it being illegal for the government to take away profits without compensation, and violates the 9th and 10th amendments because the constitution does not authorize the feds to do that.

It is a recognition of inherent rights that are supposed to pre-exist for everyone.
But in particular, economic sanctions do not apply between foreigners and Russia, only US citizens and Russia, so it is only the US citizens that I care about having their inherent rights violated.
US farmers are upset the most because they normally buy most of their fertilizer from Russia.
