As far as raw physical talent the Celtics may not have been as good as some other great teams

But in terms of the immeasurables they were the GOAT

Too bad he couldn't have played longer. Injuries cut his career short. I believe he had what they call brittle bone disease.

Was SD affordable in the 70s and 80s. ???

It’s completely destroyed now

Some parts were affordable. My parents bought their first home there when my dad was discharged from the Navy for 9K, but suburban areas like Coronado, Presidio Park, Point Loma and La Jolla were always expensive.

Those suburbs are still intact and continue to rise in price, and even in what used to be considered the economically distressed areas, median home prices are now over 700K.

The entire city has not gone south yet, but the downtown area, which used to be vibrant, with a lot of night spots, now has a horrific homelessness issue.
