Here is the deal in my opinion. When the Italians first came over they were more or less hated. But they had an out, the mill. Everyone, or a lot of people, could get well paying jobs with low skills. Blacks were brought to America to pick cotton basically. The problem is that the mill jobs were never really available to them. Now that the discrimination BS of the democrat party has been taken care of there are no mill jobs for the blacks or anyone else. The blacks were left behind, much to the glee of the Democrat Party. Now the Democrat Party had yet another way to lord their superiority over the black man. As LBJ said, they gave them something but not enough to make a difference.

I have not met the black person who didn't want to get ahead. But when there is nothing else for other them then the government what is their option? What would YOU do in the same situation. Sure we can say, get an education, but their schools suck big time it is a problem that feed upon itself. Clinton and his BS "free" trade agreements took away the jobs that the low skilled could have done. Why blacks are so loyal to the party that did them so wrong is any ones guess.
