Gilded Age was a natural transition into an national industrial economy. There is no country that does not see this transition at one time or another. Once unemployment becomes low the demand for labor goes up and the market levels off, creating higher wages and benefits. Those countries who attempt to scathe away the negatives of this transition via socialist policies end up extending the plight of the workers in destitution. What of it?
