Born free, and everywhere chained by religion.

America was a better place when the majority attended church regularly. Society has become a cesspool of debauchery and moral decay and if you deny that, you are a fucking mentally retarded trog.

May I assume you attend church regularly, and yet post a hateful ^^^ message? How do you explain that when comported with your premise?

You may assume as you wish, but your assumption is wrong. I am agnostic.

There's nothing hateful in the truth. If anyone really believes society has not become an immoral toilet, they are too stupid for words or a shit-faced liar. And I would have no problem saying that if I were a church goer.

Calling a society an immoral toilet takes some 'gravatous'; seriously, describe what you mean with examples and how you would restore morality to our society. I too am agnostic, but that does not mean I don't have a moral compass. I suspect our's point in much different directions.

This is the hypocrisy common among most Christians and conservatives: when a Christian commits an act of terrorism, the individual alone is responsible having nothing to do with his faith: for a Muslim, however, Islam alone is to blame.

As long as Christians believe they are killing for Jesus, they don't have to obey God's commandment, "Thou shalt NOT KILL".

As long as Muslims believe they are killing for their false prophet, Mohammad, they don't have to obey God's commandment, "Thou shalt NOT KILL".

As long as the Jews believe they are killing for their god of Abraham, they don't have to obey God's commandment, "Thou shalt NOT KILL".

I take it from your posts and user name you proclaim some kind of bible expertise, which is funny. The commandment is Thou Shalt not Murder. A real expert would have known that. And of course to kill does not necessarily mean to murder. Unless in your remarkable expertise you mean that we should never defend ourselves in a personal conflict to protect our own lives, which can result in us killing another human being.

Murder is an unlawful taking of another life. Hence, capital punishment, combat and abortion are not examples of murder. Sadly, euthanasia is and that is a crime.

The only way it could possibly be restored is if we stop playing the game of moral relativism. It's not brave to be a single mother, it's a crime to a child. It's not empowering to women to flaunt their bodies like street whores in public. It's not a family unit when you have a kid and dump it in daycare as soon as they will take it so you can go back to work. It's not fatherhood, to be a sperm donor and walk away.

More people need to start saying that. I'm not interested in the excuses that go along, because that's all they are is excuses. I'm not talking about laws, I'm talking about getting people to think beyond their own selfish desires.

The world leaders would love to make one religion and force everyone to obey them. LOL

Christianity is no different than the first religions that came out of Babylon according to God's plan called the beast.

Do you feel chained by your religious beliefs, or how others treat you because of them?

I'm not religious. I'm your Creator who created religion to teach My people how to build things and use them for analogies to help My saints understand your invisible existence within My mind. In other words, I AM the Truth.

LINK?

"Violence and discrimination against religious groups by governments and rival faiths have reached new highs in all regions of the world except the Americas, according to a new Pew Research Center report.

"Social hostility such as attacks on minority faiths or pressure to conform to certain norms was strong in one-third of the 198 countries and territories surveyed in 2012, especially in the Middle East and North Africa, it said on Tuesday."

I guess the research didn't survey message boards such as this one.

Just because you are hobbled by hatred does not mean everyone else is.

Scott Roeder, Eric Rudolph are true believers, and both committed murder. Last time I looked, murder is a violent act.

As long as you are delusional and full of hate you don't have to obey either.

well thats because you guys havent started killing all of us believers yet. As long as you guys decide not to do that, we wont have any violence.

The report confirms a fact long known: there is no "war" on Christianity in the United States; the notion is a partisan contrivance.

The OP said that the report is wrong.

So, you're saying that the BART cop who shot that guy in the back while he was proned out should be put to death. Is that what you're saying?

I guess in America we are better at masking religious conflicts behind political namecalling and bullying which is legalized through Courts and Congress. Assassinating people through the media. Turning dueling guns for more "civilized" lawsuits that are costly and destructive, but considered normal and following administrative procedures according to law.

And when the suppressed anger comes out, we wonder where the school shootings come from, the murder-suicides, the violent crime from drugs and gangs. None of that counts because it doesn't have a convenient label to blame on one group.

And when we do come up with a group to blame it on, we make it political so it is legal to punish that group, and not necessarily use physical violence to do so. Just abuse government, courts, laws, public authority and resources and call it democratic process.

Yes with religion as long as people believe they following God's will then it is justified in their minds, it makes sense to what they know to be true and right.

Likewise with the secular world of politics, as long as people believe they are doing what is right or best for the public, they seem to justify any stretch of the Constitution to explain it legally.
And they TRULY believe they are justified. Hardly different from a religious belief, though expressed in a secular context using political terms.

It isn't just religious or political.

It's human nature to do this.

If you believe in doing X Y or Z is the best choice, then you use or abuse any justification or explanation it takes to "back up that decision." All humans do this. Not a Biblical thing only.

Until you walk in the shoes of a single mother, I suggest you hold judgment. I ran the domestic violence (DV) unit for my agency and many single moms were heroic, they risked their life to rescue their children from a monster.

Your comment on women flaunting their bodies like street whores is equally offensive; your extreme perspective suggests a pathology common in many of the DV Offenders we arrested - self righteous individuals who believed they owned their wife or SO.

Maybe your ire ought to be focused on TV and Print Ads, or the companies who produce clothing you don't like, mostly made in foreign lands by underpaid and exploited women and children. Or on other self righteous persons just like you, those who hope to deny women easy or inexpensive access to contraceptives - getting their wife or SO pregnant is a common practice of DV offenders, it gives them more power and control.

Some people think beyond their own selfish desires, of course the Callous Conservatives are not members of that set.

First degree murder is illegal, Roe v. Wade made abortion in some cases legal. By your definition Capital Punishment is First Degree Murder.

Feel free; in one of my jobs I managed the IA unit. We weeded out those who abused their authority. I'm sorry you inferred I included all true believers into the set occupied by Roeder and Rudolph - of course they are the few, I meant nothing more.

Nope. First degree murder is a Capital Crime, manslaughter is not. Next time dry the straw.

Oh please. The very structure of your sentence belies that statement. Don't try and BS us.
