I'm always amused that Israeli supporters cite the UN as giving Israel the legal right to exist in the first place, and then immediately after that say anything that the UN does or says is irrelevant.

Israel didn't really need the UN to tell them that at the time. But isn't even funnier how the anti-Israeli folks like to use the UN against Israel all the time, even though it was the UN who "made" them a state.

The UN should not be in the business of infringing on other countries sovereignty, most of which are democratically elected by the people of that country. And yes it is a waste of tax payer money going to the UN, so unelected politicians from differing countries can try to tell us what to do. It's a progressive brain child, that acts on the line of thinking that they know what's best for everyone...in its best of intentions.
