Bundy Caught Lying about "Ancestral Rights"

For some reason I couldn't find a single mention of ancestral rights in that link. You sure you got the right link?

You still having that problem of yours where you can't understand the concept of time? I sent you to a link that explains the history of the ancestral rights. And you freak out cause they didn't use the word ancestral when talking about history. ROFL

Yes. I'm freaked out you sent me a link to explain something that had nothing to do with ancestral rights.

Yeah and that's why I call you a liar.

You call yourself a conservative and yet you can't tell the difference between an army of feds backed by a massive bureaucracy that regulated all but one rancher in the area out of business and the lone rancher trying to feed his family using only his friggin bare hands on the land of his fore-bearers.

You can't tell the difference? ROFL

I can tell the difference. A rancher didn't pay his grazing fees. He broke the law. End of story. No big government necessary, why does he get away with not paying taxes and not the other ranchers. I don't like all of the laws in this nation, but I have to abide by them. What special privilege does Bundy have that precludes him from the Law of the Land?

This is just extremism, pseudo-conservatives looking for a reason to fight the government and use their guns.

They didn't just have grazing fees. They ran up the fees, AND LIMITED THE NUMBER OF CATTLE HE COULD GRAZE to a number that no rancher could possibly live off of. IOW THEY ARE TRYING TO SCREW HIM OUT OF THE RANCHING BUSINESS.

You are being obtuse. People like you who defend this crap are the lowest of the low. The scum of the earth. Nothing could be worse than a person like you who would sit idly by as his government rapes the hell out of his neighbor's family.

What right does he have? What right do any of us have to live and work? HUH?

That is exactly when Bundy stopped paying, when they said he could only have so many cattle grazing, in 1993. I believe it was less than 200.

Not one person can tell me why everyone else who uses that public land is not charged. the 6 million visitors are not charged a penny.

They argue that camping, hiking, setting fires, killing the indigenous animals, running ATV, Horses and Cars in the area, using the place as a virtual hotel and potty, is not harmful to the land and is not 'freeloading' off the taxpayer.

Hiking Around Las Vegas, Gold Butte Region

Strange, that no one cares about those 'freeloaders' on public land, the same land Bundy is using...

The ancestral rights are referring to the right to free range cattle you asked what that was. I provided the link.

Just as with your dumb ass view that natural rights don't exist now you are freaking out about ancestral rights as not existing. DUDE ANCESTOR AND NATURAL ARE JUST ADJECTIVES, GET OVER IT.

Why am I not surprised....some on the right are defending someone that doesn't pay his taxes.....but how come they come after the poor who don't pay taxes? I think they are a tad confused....well, maybe more than a tad....:lol:

How many sleazy Media Matters paid investigators does it take to dig up dirt on a Nevada rancher? I bet the little freaking court house has had more visitors in suits in two weeks than in the last ten years.

You a city guy?

This is the city equivalent of city hall raising taxes and regulations so high they run every single small, medium, and large business out of business. No barbers, no bakers, no jobs nothing left but the empty shell of a dead city and crumbling slums. Yeah like detroit.
They raise taxes all of the time...we have to pay them. I guess the next time my property taxes go up, I should start an armed insurrection, right?

Hey...what an idea...refuse to pay and call an action alert for the militias! Brilliant!

So now he is claiming he is indigenous?

Language difficulties?

Nope, he is not claiming he is indigenous. Read again. I'm sure ultimately you'll understand what is being said. Begin with the words that are actually communicated, rather than doing whatever it is that you do to try to make the discussion something else.

I did read again. You still said the same thing. I did note you spelled indigenous wrong. Is that the issue?

It's a term generally associated with indiginous people.

I couldnt find your spelling anywhere. How does Bundy fit into this description? Sounds like a Native American to me.

indigenous
1. originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native.
BTW you and Brown need to touch bases. You both are trying to explain this away with different meanings for ancestral rights.

Quote where Bundy said he was indigenous.

He didn't. You're a liar.

Nor did I say he was indigenous...you appear to be claiming alternately that Bundy said he was indigenous, and that I said he was indigenous, and neither is true. Make up your mind who said what, then provide the quote.

What the fuck are you talking about? Try to stick to the subject. Jillian already tried this bullshit. It doesn't wash.

The Cattlemen's association has been behind the Dann sisters and Yowell, along with non-native Americans.

Eureka County Sheriff Ken Jones told AP a federal vehicle was blocking the road, and he said it was a public road and had to remain open.

Also, eight protesters were escorted away from the impoundment area, and BLM spokesman Jo Simpson told AP that was for safety reasons.

Julie Fishel of the Western Shoshone Defense Project said today that there are 40-50 supporters helping the Danns today, including cowboys rounding up cattle and horses

Mertex can speak her mind as she likes, and if you don't like it, then tough fuck for you. Personal liberty and all that good stuff.

We have a Senator lying about heritage and the left loves her. But a another person with a different political view point is ripped up one side and down the other.

More left wing hate and hypocrisy.

He also doesn't pay taxes.....I thought most rw were so up against those not paying taxes...oh, I forgot, he must be rich, why it doesn't matter....

Yes she can speak her mind, but it's just bullshit diversionary tactics. Like Jillian's whine "why do you care you don't care about poor black people..." Oh, okay, never mind that it's a lie..it's IRRELEVANT to this convo.

As is Mertex's idiocy. And yours, for that matter.

You guys can't argue the issue because #1, you don't understand the issue, and #2, you're progressive nutbags. You can't frame an intelligent argument, all you can do is launch personal attacks and tell lies.

What do you mean "what I am talking about"? You think the problem with Bundy is just that he lied about his heritage? Maybe you need to read up on him.....genius.

Yep! Defending a dead-beat....reall classy.

While this heated stand-off raised the awful specter of “another Waco” and captured the imagination and sympathy of national news outlets like Fox Television, this dispute started simmering as far back as 1993. Back then, the United States Forest Service alleged that Bundy had illegally appropriated thousands of acres of public land to allow his private stock of cattle to graze and began imposing a series of fines and taxes. Today, some 21 years later that amount has swelled to $1.2 million in back taxes owed.

Ha,ha, why is my comment irrelevant? Isn't the deadbeat in trouble because he hasn't paid his taxes?

Everything is idiocy to those who can't possibly defend their position without looking like loons.
Why should Bundy get special privileges....and why would anyone defend his refusal to pay taxes when all other ranchers are paying them? What is it about the issue that you think I don't understand? He's a deadbeat, he needs to pay the taxes, end of story.

Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for decades, under the contention that the land is his by "ancestral right." Yet almost all ranchers in the West have conformed to the code of paying for the use of public lands. It is well documented that federal grazing fees, at $1.35 per "animal unit month," are routinely much less that those charged by private landowners and are a fair charge. To allow Bundy to flout the law may bring further absurd claims upon public lands and is surely an affront to the thousands of ranchers who have paid their reasonable grazing fees year after year.

The Nevada Cattlemen's Association have not sided with Bundy.

"Nevada Cattlemen's Association does not feel it is our place to interfere in the process of adjudication in this matter," the group said Wednesday. "NCA believes the matter is between Mr. Bundy and the federal courts."
Cattlemen's group won't get involved in Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's dispute with government | WashingtonExaminer.com

So since when does somebody decide they are not going to pay their taxes and it's okay?
Don't the right complain about the "poor" who don't make enough money to pay taxes because they don't pay taxes? What's so special about this dude?

Oh, and he is rather wealthy....so maybe that does have something to do with it?

Things escalated from there. Bundy, whose Mormon family has operated a ranch since the 1870s, tells reporters that he doesn’t recognize Federal authority on public land. Various groups and individuals showed up at the scene to support his claim, including some armed militia members.
Now the camouflage freaks are claiming victory because the Feds backed down and bloodshed was avoided, though I have no doubt that at least a few of the trigger happy folks who showed up at the standoff were disappointed that they didn’t get to go to war.
But cut through all the rhetoric on both sides and it comes down to this – sometimes you have to pay your bills. Bundy isn’t some starving rancher just trying to hold it together from season to season. He’s apparently rather wealthy, in fact. Yet he has refused to pay fees that have been upheld in court more than once. So he’s basically ripping off you and me, the rest of the American taxpayers. Sort of like those big faceless corporations we all bitch about with their tax breaks we can’t get.

Sometimes You Have To Pay

As for the Dann sisters....did they lie about ancestral rights?

Now I see you have resorted to lies. You are the one that brought up the word indigenous even though you spelled it wrong. Remember? I asked what was meant by ancestral rights. I think you just confused yourself in your attempt to rationalize your backwards logic.

It's a term generally associated with indiginous people.

If you're going to argue this topic, you should familiarize yourself with the terms yourself. It gets tiresome schooling you on the meanings of words like "forefathers" and phrases such as "ancestral rights".
