Maybe the fear of getting in trouble for it was the thin leash that kept thousands of kids from saying "yes" ultimately to that desperate thought. As poverty climbs and more troubled homes churn out more troubled kids, this will be a veritable buffet for child predators. I can hear the trousers dropping and the champagne corks popping.
