Here in Massachusetts we don't even have the retailer and dispensary systems set up yet and at least a dozen cities/towns have already passed ordinances banning the stores and dispensaries inside their borders.

And there are counties and cities in America that are 'dry' because they have chosen to be 'dry'.

I don't have any problem with any city or county deciding that alcohol or pot shouldn't be sold within their jurisdiction.

Well near as I can tell, it's called "ruling from the bottom up". I guess that County figured that if the State can tell the fed to piss off about Schedule 1 pot grows, then the County can tell the State to piss off about ignoring the federal law.

It's really just a matter of a bunch of people failing American Government in high school. The whole problem started when one of those flunkies, the CA AG, reviewed the original "medical" then "recreational" ballot measures and approved them for the ballot without noticing that they violated federal law. They should have never made it past her desk. But they did. And here we are: sedition-land and a quagmire of lawsuits beginning...

A Californian (Coloradoan, Washingtonian, whatever) who grows cannabis may still be in violation of federal law; they're just not in violation of state law.

There are federal laws dealing with drug cartels, whether they are ran by Poncho down in Mexico, or from a Governors mansion.

You've missed the point entirely, idiot. The point is precedent. Once a federally-controlled substance is usurped by sedition from rogue states into becoming "legal", there's no barring other substances that come into vogue use with the voters from being "legalized" the same exact way.

So the point is HOW pot is legalized. The proper protocol was with the permission of the 50 states (Congress). That hasn't been done and because of precedent, pot isn't legal in the rogue states.

when i saw sessions on one of the senate hearings,he was asked about pot and what is going on state wise....he said something like ..."look,my job is to enforce federal law,and right now pot is illegal at the federal level,if you want pot to be different than change the laws,and that sir is your job,not mine"......and that was that...

That is if you understand the concept of how federal laws govern. "We" change the laws federally via petitioning our representatives in Congress. "We" do not change federal laws state by rogue state defying them using sedition of the Union's cohesion. That cuts out vital debate and voices of the other states who do not want pot legalized in literal cartel states right next door to them, trafficking right across their borders. Another state legalizing affects its neighbors. You convince them by debate in Congress and informing the public. You do not entirely cut them out of the debate. That's not how our Union works.
