I was told today that Obama swore in on a Koran for his Senate seat. I do not believe he did. Can someone clarify this for me? I am under the impression only a Congressman has so far sworn in on a Koran.

I think if Obama was white, he would be getting the same treatment. I think a significant portion of the Right believes that blacks are inferior/atavistic, but I don't think they let this affect their politics - meaning: the Right would have had no problem getting behind Herman Cain if he gave them the best chance. And the Right, as you point out, pursued Clinton with more paranoia and insanity than Obama. And they will pursue Hillary with equal intensity.

However, your accusation that the Left is playing the race card is very useful to you, which is why you keep waiving this strawman, even when nobody is talking about it. This accusation by your side is literally on literature that is handed out at GOP meetings, as famously pointed out several years ago. Accusing the Left of overplaying race is a well known strategy used to claim that the Left can't defend Obama's policies.
