Guaranteed these people will change their mind once they get a taste of Canadian "socialism" (which is really just unaccountable, unabashed government abuses). I would be surprised if they lasted six months in Canada. They won't get a job unless they know someone, or a local cop, who's kids are usually supervisors at Canadian business (just "because). They won't be able to retire unless they find a job in government. Forget about vacations, Canada can't afford much since they have to pay for their heat and taxes.
Ironically, they are leaving America just as the incoming administration will be focusing on jobs, where do they think many of these jobs will come from after decades of backstabbing by the Canadian Security Apparatus? These are basically Americans saying "oh, you're going to do what? Oh yeah? Well I'm going to head to the country in which you will be getting jobs back from. That will teach you!"

Few people seek to flee the world’s largest economy, and one of its oldest democracies, on humanitarian grounds: A mere 170 Americans claimed asylum at Canada’s land borders through the first 11 months of this year.
Yet that was more than twice the total from 2015 — and it was led by a noticeable five-fold increase in the month of November, with 28 people claiming refugee status last month compared with merely five in November 2015.
