Carly Fiorina (R-CA) announcing her presidential run on May 4, 2015

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Fiorina to launch presidential bid May 4 WSJ Reuters

And in doing so, she is somewhat pre-empting Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee, both of whom are planning to announce on May 5th.

From the link:

Fiorina will announce her candidacy online and hold a conference call for the media,

FYI.

Discuss. Can Fiorina win?

What elected office did she hold?

She has never held an elected office.
Probably here best qualification......

Amusing how the Perot/Cain myth is still believed by some on the right.

Not being a politician is a resume enhancement.

Hillary has screwed up in every job she's had.
How is that a qualification?

I'll give the republicans one thing...At least they give choices to their voters. The democrats are sticking everything on Clinton.

The nature of post 'Citizens' conservatism is empty ideological expressions of practically irrelevance. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 56th vote against Obamacare for example. Or the candidacy of Ted Cruz or Ben Carson as another. With random billionaires or hedge fund managers willing to put a soap box under them.

Democrats as a group tend to put a higher priority on viability and electability than do republicans. And their funding tends to follow these priorities to a far greater degree than it does republicans.
Obama is none of the above.... he's given us 7 years of massive unemployment, stagnant/no growth, a middle east that is on fire, a burgeoning nuclear deal with the worlds largest state sponsor of terrorism and $17,000,000,000,000 in debt among other things. He's no great orator... he may be well spoken, but he's full-of-shit and just regurgitates Fabian Socialist talking points.
I am amazed at the short-term memory loss suffered by some Americans. Obama inherited the worst American economic crisis since the Great Depression, with huge debts brought on by GW Bush's two disastrous wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, a totally broken housing market, and unemployment in the double digits. GW Bush and his henchmen, not Obama, caused the disaster. Obama was forced to deal with it from day one in office, though he did nothing to cause it. In 7 years, he's alleviated the overwhelming debt left to him, revived the economy to the point it's breaking records on Wall Street, helped the housing industry so that sales are back to levels before the bubble burst, and unemployment is down to 5.5%, the lowest it's been in memory. And, Obama accomplished this in spite of the fact that Congress has been relentless in opposing every idea expressed by him or his administration since 2010. I honestly don't know what people expect from a President or how they measure success, when this kind of record can be butchered this way without regard to the facts or truth. Sad.

I doubt if there is even room in the GOP Clown Car for her

Eh. not sure I really care.

Huckabee isn't really jumping in is he?

Why do progressives seem to think conservatives want them?

She has never held an elected office.

That's actually one of her strong points

In spite of Koch brothers and her own funding, Fiorina still got her ass kicked by Barbara Boxer by 10%

presidential material?

Why would having no fucking idea what you are doing be a strong point?

Weeeeeeeee! Choices!!!! Nutters love choices!

I've always thought reasonable people liked choices. It's Nazis who like to be told what to do and who to pick.

Democrats have choices!! You see, hiLIARy has flipped flopped on so many issues, so many times.... that she can actually debate herself!

Then the democrat primary votes can decide which version of hiLIARy they like more, and vote for that one.

She hasn't got a chance in hell. She is one of the worst CEO's in CA history. She has nothing on her CV in any way of a major accomplishment. The one attribute she has over Hillary is she has no demonstrable corrupt behavior. That's it.
