âYou donât have to go too far. I think the way that I am treated by the left is racism,â Carson said when asked what was his last personal experience with racism. âTheyâre saying because youâre black you have to think a certain way, and if you donât think that way, youâre an Uncle Tom. Youâre worthy every horrible epithet they can come up with, whereas if I werenât black, then I would just be a Republican.â âYou have an entirely unique perspective on these issues than a lot of Republicans. I mean youâre very much in the minority in the Republican Party on this,â Politicoâs Glenn Thrush said during the âOff Messageâ podcast.
Thrush: âIn terms of-- weâve seen major party candidates whoâve been African American before, but talk a little bit for me about what is it like in 2016 perhaps compared to previous generations of African-American candidates â even Herman Cain. What has that experience been like, and have there been any surprises?â
Carson: âFirst of all, I donât find any particular problem being an African-American in the Republican Party. The people-- I know that in the progressive side of things they like to say that the Republicans are racist, I know that. I havenât experienced that.â

âHe was raised white,â Carson said of Obama. âMany of his formative years were spent in Indonesia. So for him to claim that he identifies with the experience of black Americans I think is a bit of a stretch.â During an interview with Politicoâs âOff Messageâ podcast, Carson said he was âproud that we broke the color barrierâ when Obama was elected, but Obamaâs experience and Carsonâs experience were ânight and day different.â
Politicoâs Glenn Thrush asked Carson, âAre you curious at all about what his experience was like? I mean, when he was electedââ
âWhat experience?â Carson asked.
âExperience of being elected. Letâs just stop it at Jan. 20, 2009, right? Was that significant for you? As somebody who sat and watched that â I was there. I was in the crowd. It was a pretty interesting moment in American history. Did you derive any joy out of that, any sense of pride? How did you process that?â Thrush asked. âI did notâI mean like most Americans, I was proud that we broke the color barrier when he was elected, but I also recognize that his experience and my experience are night and day different. He didnât grow up like I grew up by any stretch of the imagination â not even close,â Carson said. âHe was an âAfricanâ American as opposed to an African-American,â Thrush said. âAn African-American,â Carson said of Obama. âHe was raised white. Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia, so for him to claim that he identifies with the experience of black Americans I think is a bit of a stretch.â
Ben Carson: Obama âWas Raised Whiteâ
Carson would be much better than Hillary and Bernie.I remember when the right convinced itself for a couple weeks that they could stomach voting for Carson. That was a funny time.

You idiots have this made up image of a racist Republican Party when nearly all the racialists are in the Democratic Party. The worst Republicans do in an everyday conversation is saying non pc things that do little but possibly make non-whites less than comfortable sometimes.

Up until recently Republicans couldn't even talk about fixing illegal immigration without upsetting their own constituency.
They musta been as stoned as Carson seems to be. That's the only explanation I can think of.Carson 25%
Behind Carson, Rubio took 19 percent, Trump scored 17 percent and Cruz received 14 percent in Colorado. The question's margin of error â plus-or-minus 4.5 percent â essentially makes it a dead-heat for the second position.
Damned by faint praise.Carson would be much better than Hillary and Bernie.
