It absolutely causes harm. If a single eligible voter is denied his or her right to cast a ballot then harm is done. And that has happened as a result of the voter ID laws that have been passed.

None of you have ever provided a single example of actual voter fraud which could only have been stopped or prevented by Voter ID.

Now, you think because it does not achieve its goals, that means it is harmless. Wrong again. It costs money to implement. Your elected officials had to spend money to get the legislation passed. Then the legislation had to be published and distributed.

Then citizens had to take the time to go and get the right IDs so they could vote. This is an inconvenience and a government intrusion into their lives.

Also, I have provided real world examples many times on this forum of eligible citizens who have been prevented from voting because of Voter ID. Remember, none of you tards has ever produced even ONE case of voter fraud which could only have been stopped or prevented by Voter ID.

And then there are those who claim that Voter ID disenfranchises the poor and elderly.

So you are one very stupid fuck if you think "ineffective at stopping fraud" means "no harm."

More accurately, I oppose Voter ID laws because it disenfranches many voters.....while acting as a safeguard against a form of fraud that is virtually non-existent. In person voter fraud, the only kind of voter fraud that Voter ID could prevent, is the rarest of the rare. Accounting for about 100 cases per decade in the entire country. Meaning you're about 8 times more likely to be struck by lightning than to commit in person voter fraud.

When Pennsylvania was asked to tell the court how many instances of voter fraud that their Voter ID law could have prevented, they couldn't name one. When Texas was asked the same question, they could only find 2 instances in the last 10 years.

2. In 10 years.

And yet the voter ID laws in Texas could disenfranchise between 200,000 to 400,000 voters. Disenfranchising 200,000 people to prevent 0.5 instances of voter fraud per election is monumentally stupid.
