Nominal Christianity is now the new Liberal theology. Never before have I seen so much re-interpreting ( misinterpreting) of Scripture in order to accomodate the disobedience of the body of Christ. I pray that this changes soon because truly it is becoming nearly impossible to find a church preaching the Gospel as the early church preached it. Due to there not being a single church in my own city preaching the pure Gospel - one Pastor in another city opted to open a branch of his church in my city so that Christians here could have a place to go! If you are attending a bible believing church that preaches holiness, obedience & flows in the gifts of the Holy Spirit you are a blessed Christian! Stay there!

One of the verses the book is about "indwelling sin":

An interview with an American Christian commentator published by Israeli media this week reveals just how far the Evangelical Church has moved into the "Palestinian camp" when it comes to the Middle East conflict.

For decades, Israel's most stalwart supporters were to be found among Evangelical Christians, the bulk of whom saw the rebirth of the Jewish state as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and evidence of God's faithfulness.

But a new generation of Evangelical leaders are "committed to spreading the Palestinian version of the conflict," said Jim Fletcher, a long-time Christian publisher, in an interview published to Israel National News. "These pro-Palestinian leaders currently control the narrative within the Church."



According to Fletcher, there is a "massive effort...in the heart of the American Evangelical Church to lure its members to the Palestinian side." As a result of that effort, it is now "severely mistaken to think that all Evangelicals are pro-Israel."

Among those Evangelical leaders one should be wary of are Willow Creek Pastor Lynne Hybels, Saddleback Community Church Pastor Rick Warren, Dr. Gary Burge of Wheaton College and Christian publisher Cameron Strang.

Hybels and Burge were speakers at last year's Christ at the Checkpoint conference in Bethlehem, where local and foreign Evangelical leaders painted modern Israel as a nation wholly disconnected from its biblical roots and prophecies pertaining to it.

Furthermore, this movement interprets Yeshua's own teachings in a more humanistic light in order to use them against Israel.

"In the Palestinian narrative, emotion is predominant. The emphasis is on ‘land confiscations, checkpoints, detentions, beatings.’ What they call the ‘apartheid wall’ is also mentioned frequently," explained Fletcher.

But, perhaps most disconcerting, is the lack of a strong response from those who still love Israel and see her for what she truly is, warts and all.

"To my knowledge, there are no broad-based Evangelical leaders in the U.S. who will speak out about this problem, which is developing into an epidemic," said Fletcher, warning in conclusion that "the way things are going, support will completely flip from Israel to the Palestinians in the next generation."

For those of us sitting in Israel, there is another worrying effect: more and more Israelis are starting to feel that, once again, they cannot trust or rely on Christians.

The mere fact that this interview was published on a religious Israeli media website demonstrates that Israeli Jews see the strong wall of Christian support eroding, and as a result the bonds that were built up over the past century are beginning to unravel.

Yet 'Faith without works is dead'. If you supposedly have faith, then the works are going to happen as an expression of that faith.

I'm sorry, Chuck - I couldn't parse that second sentence.

But I seem to recall a verse about "The Devil can quote Scripture..." so I don't really think totting up the number of verses quoted by each poster is a useful measure of.......whatever it is you think you're measuring.

Zionism is a lie that comes from God's planned "beast", where all religions and religious ideas came from. The name "Israel" in the prophecies starting with Isaiah means ALL God's people formed in the flesh. The name "Jacob" means ALL God's created men and servant as invisible energy that no man's flesh can ever see.

Antichrists are sinners who stole the words from the saints who spoke for God and used them for their own selfish purpose to control people and make a living off of them. These antichrists were all around the saints of the first three centuries and formed many Christ-like churches with their own pagan religious ideas.

After Rome finished killing all the true saints who spoke for God, they set up the religious government called the Vatican to make new rules for all these antichrist Christ-like churches to adhere to. If they didn't follow these rules, they were killed. Many of the true believers who were listening to the saints gospel were also killed because they would have rejected the Roman government and the Vatican's laws against the laws of God.

This means that all of Christianity contains antichrists who appear to be godly but are of satan and the beast who preach false gospels and lies to their Christians.

Yet 'Faith without works is dead'. If you supposedly have faith, then the works are going to happen as an expression of that faith.

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

James acknowledges that Abraham believed God and it was imputed unto him for righteousness. It means that righteousness was added to Abraham's account just for believing and not because of anything he did because this was several chapters (Genesis 15) before Isaac was offered (justified before works in Genesis 22) on the altar of God.

James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
