It is commonly accepted that Islam is not Avodah Zarah (idolatry) since Islam has a clear monotheistic theology with a belief in Allah that parallels our view of "kail" or Hashem. It is even permissible for Jews to enter and pray (Jewish prayer) in a mosque. The views of Christianity and their Trinity are more clouded. Entering a Church is a questionable act, as Christians are Avodah Zara

Shittuf is prohibited for Jews. This means that a Jew would be prohibited to acknowledge the Christian savior as part of the G-dhead, or to participate in Christian worship, even at the cost of his or her life.

Gentlemen....Remember the term "Goyim" refers to both Jacob and Esau...meaning there are two "nations" striving inside their mother's womb....Abraham was the father of many nations as well as Jacob and his descendents.... I am not disagreeing with the premise regarding idolatry and christianity only with using the term "goyim"... but you are free to disagree with me if you like.....Shalom.....
