Civ 3 on Linux

Has anyone ever tried to run Civ 3 on a full Linux machine?

I have Ubuntu but the Wine Emulator refuses to open the Exe file.

You could try Play on Linux - Home - PlayOnLinux - Play On Linux easily

You might try Cedega but it's a commercial programme but I understand it is pretty good.

Other than that have you tried the Ubuntu gaming forums?

I'm still using Gutsy because I had horrible sound problems with Hardy and Pulse. I only have FlightGear.
