Clinton campaign hires Dreamer as its Latino outreach director

In a move absolutely guaranteed to bring Conservatives into rage, a move that is completely legal:

Lorella Praeli, with her mother

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has named prominent DREAMer and immigration activist Lorella Praeli as Latino Outreach Director, a Clinton campaign official told NBC News. Praeli, who was undocumented for almost 13 years and became an outspoken advocate during that time, will be the Clinton campaign's main point person with Latino communities around the country. She will also be one of the campaign's surrogates with the press on Latino issues, including immigration.

Praeli's appointment sends a strong signal that the Clinton campaign recognizes immigration reform as a key issue for many of the nation's Hispanic voters. It also sends a message to Republican candidates to take a clearer position on immigration - a contentious issue for the GOP - as they court Latino votes. Recently Clinton said she supported full and equal citizenship for undocumented immigrants, saying that anything less is "code for second-class status."

This is something that would have been impossible just four years ago.

Discuss. Good idea, or bad idea?
Meh. I can't bring myself to take a stance on this issue. On the one hand I see the major problems with having illegal immigrants coming here and taking up our space, jobs and resources. On the other hand, I see the benefit of getting them to begin paying into the system, because they're not going anywhere anyways. I also sympathize with people who actually risked something and struggled to make it into and remain in this country. Especially when we have people like many of the above posters, who are Americans through luck and whose parents and grandparents never had to jump any legal hurdles to come and live here, who now spew nasty and hate filled vitriol about immigrants they don't like. But then again their parents and grandparents faced a similar hate filled environment from conservatives of their time when they immigrated here. So maybe it's just the cycle repeating.

Here's a clue for ya..if there arent enough jobs for Americans the tax incentive doesnt change. In fact it gets worse because those out of work collect welfare and other gov subsidies.
But there are plenty of jobs right? According to republicans the unemployed are just lazy leeches who don't want to work.

Well of course there's a lack of jobs....no matter what obama is telling you.

Oh cool well make sure when you see republicans berating people on welfare for being lazy and irresponsible you remind them that there are no jobs.

Great move! It's gonna keep her right on point with the immigration issues. Gonna be tough for Repubs to crack that demographic with their current rhetoric.

Watch Fox Business Network sometimes and E-mail or Tweet Stuart Varney. Let us know what you find out. It'll knock your socks off.

Conservatives say 3 things: there are no jobs, people who are on welfare have the option to work but choose not to on purpose, and illegal immigrants come here to take all the jobs that apparently don't exist. You can see how those statements conflict with each other I'm sure.

All I know is I never in my life had a problem finding a job.
And I know you see the conflict when you say obama has fixed the economy and there are plenty of jobs out there, yet you whine about the lack of them.
You also claim there are no jobs yet you applaud illegal immigration.
Cant have it both ways.

Now we have computers and robots that have replaced many jobs and there is a sea of baby boomers retiring and artificially raising the unemployment rate. I do not applaud illegal immigration, and you'd know that if you'd actually read my first post.

Thank you for your Latino recruitment - for the Democratic Party, that is.

I'm Latino, I will never be recruited by the Democrat party. How about you stay away from the race card, mkay?
There are Latinos, like you, that will see through this politically incorrect move. However there are many who will not. Leaving me to believe it's a clever manipulation of the liberal mind.
