the thing is, the democratic-republican establishment operates on the liberal/conservative model, but the american people are no longer that. it's like we're expected to choose between constipation and diarrhea, neither of which are very comfortable to say the least. the people at large, it's a libertarian/communitarian electorate, which is essentially a defacto state of national socialism, or the long running debate between kirk and spock about the needs of the many and the needs of the few or the one. it turns out that hitler was right about some things, and we can't handle it because he's the token bad guy in all our discourse. so there's literally nothing wrong with sending trump into there like a wrecking ball, a catalyst to force a correction, and that's what's happening. deal with it.
