The decline in consumption spans all categories: food, breakfast and snacks, hygiene, and cosmetics have experienced drops of 9.6%, 12.6%, and 20.9%, respectively. Beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are down 25.2% and 23.7%.

Not good news for Milei or Argentina.

Nowhere near as bad as it was...

As for your source:

Yes, inflation is down as is consumption. The former is good, the latter is bad.

Oh, and thanks for showing my source is pretty damn neutral compared to most media sources

You only believe Merco Press is "neutral" because I didn't make a screen cap of this part.

MercoPress - Bias and Credibility

Merco Press is based in Uruguay, BTW.

From the first link:

"It should be noted that there are still difficulties with imports due to internal and external causes, as well as the debt accumulated by Argentine importers."

From the second link:

"Cutback on subsidies in real terms, along with the impact of adjustment from collective bargaining talks that are outpaced by inflation, have heavily affected spending by families."

Well duhh, there's the problem: A cutback in subsidies. Of course things are going to be tough when a country breaks free of socialism. When people are so used to a government giving them free shit, it's always going to take time to adjust.

Are you saying Argentina longs for 200% inflation pre Milei?

See, that was not so hard. Why could you not have done that to begin with instead of the stupid attacking the source?

That is not socialism anymore than giving money and tax credits to farmers.

There’s no nice way to unwind the horrific damage inflicted on a populace by a malevolent government.

Same will happen in America, bank failures and deflationary depression coming soon

More wishful thinking.
