This is what FOX news is now, and has been from 2020. Certainly before that but not to such a degree to make it obvious. Nothing but deceit by another name coming from the fascists in power worldwide.

Controlled Opposition is a Protest Movement, Opposing or Dissenting Voice that is actually being led and controlled by the Government.
Throughout history almost all Governments have used this technique to trick, subdue and divert attention away from the actual opposition - aided and abetted by the same complicit mainstream media that funded the political campaign of the elected official whilst also managing and controlling his/her public perception - wake up!
It's primary goals are to dominate, lead and control the 'opposing narrative' and divert the publics attention away from the facts i.e. it is not opposition in any way, shape or form - it is manufactured opposition designed to look like real/true opposition.

We need to remember this is what we are dealing with as our country circles the drain.

there are plenty of alternatives: Newsmax, Breitbart, Glenn Beck, Stossel, Megyn Kelly, Ron Paul, Ted Cruz, Christie (off the top of my head) all have their own channels/platforms/solo shows/podcasts

in political systems defined by legitimate opposition, those who hold power allow their rivals to peacefully challenge and displace them. And those who have lost power do not seek to sabotage the winners even as they pursue future victories.

Across the globe, legitimate opposition is under assault. Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, refused to acknowledge that he had been defeated by Joe Biden, pressuring state officials and the vice president to subvert the electoral process, stoking unjustified suspicion of his loss, and instigating the ransack of the US Capitol. Were these actions surprising? Not really. Prior to the election, Trump made his intentions evident, insisting he would not accept the outcome were he to lose. And four years earlier, he had famously threatened to imprison his electoral rival, Hillary Clinton. Trump epitomizes the rejection of legitimate opposition. And the threat to the United States’ system of legitimate opposition may not have subsided. But Trump is hardly a singular example. The governing party of Hungary has deployed the legal and institutional resources of the state to cut the legs from beneath its challengers. Populist parties hostile to practices allowing their opponents to win power are gaining strength all over the world. And the military in Myanmar has just demolished its country’s experiment with competitive elections.

Do you really think they are not part of the problem? Think again.

in systems of opposition, political losers cede their place to winners, and winners do not keep losers from challenging them in the future. Nancy Rosenblum has coined a term neatly capturing the practice: “regulated rivalry”
