Several zones completely empty of cops...no radio traffic at all.
This is bad.

The APD is categorically denying that there's any truth to it...
But the zone 6 East dispatch has been dead silent, which is unusual for a city the size of Atlanta..Earlier suggestions that multiple officers from each zone had walked off the job were inaccurate. The department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift. We have enough resources to maintain operations & remain able to respond to incidents.

Atlanta Police Dispatch - Zone 6 East Live Audio FeedI'm not at all embarrassed for not swallowing rumors exclusively on Tiger whatever on twitter. It’s a bit late to come crawling back to your senses, hat in hand...Okay. I went to local Atlanta news, and CNN picked it up. I think it's time cops pushed back some. It's gone too far. What is he saying? I don't have tv.
Tucker was talking about a police scanner & how there is no talk at all in a zone in atlanta...silence...but then he moved on to the next storry

May be a lot of officers are calling in sick -- or the Chief is trying to keep a lid on things by refusing to admit publicly that he has no cops working at the moment. I'll wait and see.
It's pretty obvious that you know nothing about law-enforcement training or the law. Those 1700 "good cops" would have also been within their right to shoot a felony fleeing subject in the back. Once the crime escalates to a felony, deadly force is allowable.
no it isn’t - you are an idiot
“Mr. Brooks never presented himself as a threat,” said Paul Howard, the Fulton County district attorney.
Not only was Brooks calm and cordial before Rolfe sought to arrest him, Howard said, but Rolfe did not inform him that he was under arrest for driving under the influence.
In firing a Taser at Brooks while he was running away, Rolfe violated the department’s standard of practices which prohibits officers from firing tasers at someone who is running away.“You certainly can’t fire a hand gun at someone who is running away,” Howard said.Atlanta police officer who shot Rayshard Brooks charged with murder

Bullshit.
Fleeing felon rule - Wikipedia"A police officer may not seize an unarmed, nondangerous suspect by shooting him dead...however...Where the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a threat of serious physical harm, either to the officer or to others, it is not constitutionally unreasonable to prevent escape by using deadly force.
— Justice Byron White, Tennessee v. Garner[4]"
I have a feeling this video of the DA in the Rayshard Brooks case claiming TWO WEEKS ago that a taser is a “deadly weapon” is going to be used by the defense in court.pic.twitter.com/NdcUlEadQN

idiot: here’s the APD policy on lethal force:
An employee may use deadly force to apprehend a suspected felon only when:1. He or she reasonably believes that the suspect possesses a deadly weapon or any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury and when he or she reasonably believes that the suspect poses an immediate threat of serious bodily injury to the officer or others; or2. When there is probable cause to believe that the suspect has committed a crime involving the infliction or threatened infliction of serious physical harm (O.C.G.A. Section 17-4-20) and the employee reasonably believes that the suspect’s escape would create a continuing danger of serious physical harm to any person. https://www.atlantapd.org/Home/ShowDocument?id=3273
I can certain understand why cops are walking off the job. There are 1700 mostly good cops in Atlanta who are trained not to shoot a citizen in the back for running away on foot unarmed.
They aren’t resigning. It’s not a bad policy.
Link this:
"There has been a claim circulating that 19 Atlanta Police Department officers resigned over the weekend. We have checked with the source of that claim and they are planning to issue a retraction of that statement because it is not correct and was not verified by APD. The information we have is that eight officers have resigned since June 1. Our personnel data indicates that we have had anywhere from two to six officers resign per month in 2020," read a statement released by the agency."8 Atlanta officers resign as morale plummets
ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) -- The Atlanta Police Department is battling growing unrest in the City and plummeting morale. As a result, several officers have resigned in the past two weeks.www.google.com

Can anyone blame them?
Can anyone blame them?
The police are all that's standing between the criminal left and a furious and fed up citizenry. Without the police the majority of citizens would be plowing through blm like a threshing machine.
The liberal loons and BLM are neo-Communists. Their goal is to see this nation fall.Crazy thing is the Atlanta PD is 58% black policemen.
But the liberal loons and BLM idiots want it defunded because of systemic racism.
Go figure......
Can anyone blame them?
Well, some folks just have to learn the hard way.The police are all that's standing between the criminal left and a furious and fed up citizenry. Without the police the majority of citizens would be plowing through blm like a threshing machine.
While I agree to an extent, without the police to intervene on their behalf, millions of American civilians who don't quite yet get or fully understand what's about to go down will be caught unaware, denying the revolution happening around them even as it kicks down their front door. Many of us will fight back—and win. However, many, many innocent lives will be lost, largely due to cable news lies telling millions of Americans there is no revolution.
