Covid-Capitalism Fails Most Basic Test of National Legitimacy

What is there for you without those that are real Americans supporting you in this country?
Is this your idea of a "real American"?

If so, America is finished.

There is a limit to how long government can borrow money and give it away go citizens who are not working
But there's no limit to how much money a sovereign government can create (not borrow) to fund a Green New Deal infrastructure project, for example.
GND-100percent.jpg

Millions of living wage jobs would be needed for such a project, and unlike socialism for Wall Street, those wages would be directly spent on goods and services in the productive economy. Billionaires would be taxed into extinction, and the FIRE sector reduced to where it was in 1945.

Billionaires would be taxed into extinction

No billionaires in Cuba, their average person must be doing better than the average American.
Right?

MR Online | Resistance growing to covid-capitalism

"The superpower that has killed millions in its quest for global supremacy has utterly failed the most basic test of legitimacy at home: the ability to protect its own population.

"Covid-19 has laid bare a fundamental truth: that capitalist healthcare is a contradiction in terms, since capital–like the killer virus–cares for nothing but reproducing itself.

"The U.S. 'public' health sector is revealed as a hollowed-out shell, crippled and shrunken by decades of unrelenting privatization at the hands of the oligarch-serving political duopoly.

"In effect, the Lords of Capital have been devouring the nation’s protective membrane, leaving the population defenseless against, not only microbes, but every disease of the poor–plus opiates and the lethal social pathologies that spawn spectacular and uniquely American mass shootings at schools, churches and shopping malls, and the daily slaughter of Black and brown youth on the streets."

Capitalism's leaders are currently rushing into policy failures because of their ideological blinders. Over the past decades capitalism has built up vulnerabilities to another epic crash that any number of triggers could unleash.

Coronavirus: A visual guide to the economic impact

Another dumb post. Compare US deaths, to Italy. Italy has the socialist kill-your-own health care system that has far more deaths than the US.

Nothing else you posted was logical or true.

See if you can respond to content using the words "profit' and "efficiency", Clown:

COVID-19 and the Failures of Capitalism - CounterPunch.org

"The third reason capitalism gets blame here is that alternative systems—those not driven by a profit-first logic—could manage viruses better.

"While not profitable to produce and stockpile everything needed for a viral pandemic, it is efficient.

"The wealth already lost in this pandemic far exceeds the cost to have produced and stockpiled the tests and ventilators, the lack of which is contributing so much to today’s disaster.

"Capitalism often pursues profit at the expense of more urgent social needs and values. In this, capitalism is grossly inefficient.

"This pandemic is now bringing that truth home to people."

The third reason capitalism gets blame here is that alternative systems—those not driven by a profit-first logic—could manage viruses better.

Then there should have been no pandemic to begin with, given it originated in China, where 95% of the population has government run non-profit health care.

There should also have been no crisis in Italy, given the universal non-profit health care system they have. Of course having been to Italy, and know people in Italy, their health care system sucks terribly.

By the way, here's a question for all the ignorant people on the left. If government funded socialized non-profit health is oh so much better...

Why is it that you can't hardly find a single country that has a 100% government socialized health care system?

The last one I really know of, was Canada, which sucked so bad that the citizens sued the government to force them to allow private profit-based health providers.

I want another opinion.

That's a U.S. military school by the way, boy.

No, I rather trust somebody like that than you.

Sorry. I had a friend whose dad put him there..shit..I guess because he was strict AF.

All American people..I felt sorry for the dude, and I went to parochial school.

Anybody smiling that much while in a military academy deserves a medal! :auiqs.jpg:

Are you disagreeing? Drop and give me 50, or STFU!

Hell, I did 50 on my knuckles on blistering hot concrete 1 time just to keep from getting sent to the Dean's office. For cussing.

I chose the knuckles, but my palms would have blistered from the heat, too.

The 50 was no problem.

nd, hind sight is always 20/20. Carry on commie. BTW Why did your beloved China hoard PPE?
Who wrote this tweet?

"China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!"

New information changes things, don't they commie? LMAO

One could be forgiven for thinking the richest country in history, which spends far more per capita on healthcare, would not be leading the globe in coronavirus deaths, no?

"January 22

"In interview from Davos, Trump asked: 'Are there worries about a pandemic at this point?' Trump replies: 'No, not it all. We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.'"

But where do we find the money?

A Universal Basic Income is Essential and Will Work - CounterPunch.org

"'Where will the government find the money?' is no longer a valid objection to providing an economic safety net for the people.

"The government can find the money in the same place it just found more than $5 trillion for Wall Street and Corporate America: the central bank can print it.

"In an April 9 post commenting on the $1.77 trillion handed to Wall Street under the CARES Act, Wolf Richter observed, 'If the Fed had sent that $1.77 Trillion to the 130 million households in the US, each household would have received $13,600. But no, this was helicopter money exclusively for Wall Street and for asset holders.'"

The central bank didn't print $5 trillion to hand it out. The central bank will be buying assets and making loans. How is that remotely equivalent to handing everyone a check?

Oh, right, Commies are fucking morons.

Why didn't the Soviet Union just print money to hand out to their workers,
maybe their shit hole country would still exist, eh comrade?

What kind of "assets", Asshole?
Toxic private crap that makes parasite speculators rich while socializing their losses?
Useless simplistic shit (like you) would have been more economically efficient as abortion statistics.:aargh:
