In synch with the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, the Russian government does not like Google:

USMB software said "Error: 56 Russian characters have been detected," which prevents posting. Next we removed the romanized Russian that usually accompanies our translations because the Russian original should be first, then the English translation. We will now attempt to post the Novaya Gazeta URL so that USMB prisoners can see the video, otherwise they must visit the Novaya Gazeta page themselves and press the translation button to see the English words that accompany the article's title in post #1, so that they can tell which article to click on to retrieve the video.

We did attempt to post the URL in this post, which was unsuccessful via USMB software. Thus, USMB is now selectively biased for posting internet URLs and furthermore, the prisoners no longer get to see what romanized Russian looks like in conjunction with current world news, even if it's in parallel with the English translation. By most anyone's definition,this should be called fascism.

It is no longer possible at USMB to post in Russian-English parallel, not even a Russian URL that uses the English alphabet to romanize its own website, as in the Novaya Gazeta example. A previous parallel-text example is seen in post #10 of this thread:
