She had said the Jews have the world hypnotized, that US politicians only support Israel because they have been paid off by AIPAC and that Americans who support Israel are not loyal to the US. This was the reason Pelosi wanted to pass a resolution censuring her, but the Congressional Black Caucus threatened to vote against it, so Pelosi back off and settled for this piece of hypocrisy you are so enamored of.

This us exactly how the British Labour Party lost so many of its supporters, but condemning anti semitism in principle but being reluctant to discipline its members who were clearly anti semitic.

Omar has a long history of anti semitism and the censure resolution followed two classic anti semitic statements by Omar, that those who support Israel cannot be loyal Americans and that the only reason the US supports Israel is that AIPAC bribes members of Congress. By passing the resolution that does not name Omar and then refusing to condemn her for her anti semitic hate speech, the Party showed that while it claims to be opposed to anti semitism in principle, it does not oppose it in practice as long as the anti semite is a Democrat.
