The problem is that CEO pay isn't determined by the employee, unless it's an employee owned business. Employees don't pay the CEO so they have no say in what his salary is worth. Companies drop workers to part time and outsource jobs overseas is because of government regulation and high operating costs and now, thanks to the libs, the incentive to do so has never been higher.Just like the CEO's start the business and get compensated much more than their worth.
But just like you and "t" the whiny ass he is, you never make a statement concerning their over pay but the millions.
You are so anti-worker it is disgusting.
Neither of you would make a pimple on a real working man's butt.

The problem with you lefties is that you all sing the same song without thinking. Nothing will improve employee pay like an improving economy. Companies will have to get and keep good employees with pay and incentives. That's the way the real world works and always has.
Some proof to show that they had nothing to do with the company struggling because of bad business decisions would certainly make a better case than pure opinion.
Upper management had nothing to do with this at all? Is that your contention.
Upper management had nothing to do with Hostess. That was all leech unions. Obviously upper management in sears is making some poor decisions because they are store and employee heavy.

Sears: 'Burning cash,' closing stores
Sears has been on a downward spiral almost since the day it merged with Kmart in 2005. And that plunge seems to be picking up speed.
The company said this week that it may sell its 51% stake in Sears Canada, which operates nearly 20% of the company's stores worldwide. It has quietly closed nearly 100 U.S. stores in the last year. Next week, it's expected to announce dismal fiscal first quarter results and possibly yet more store closings.
Look, those damn workers demanding all those high wages and benefits. How dare they.
Now these store's have to close.
""They have too many stores and they're losing a lot of money, burning cash," said John Kernan, an analyst with Cowen.
Kernan expects the company to close 500 of its 1,980 U.S. stores in a few years and, ultimately, to go out of business."
Sears was once the nation's largest retailer and biggest employer. The iconic company reshaped shopping in the United States with both its catalogs and its massive department stores. But the Kmart merger has been a disaster from the start. Sears Holdings (SHLD, Fortune 500)' sales have declined every year since 2006, and it's been losing money since 2011.
But wait a minute and look at this!
How absurd.
Washington state defies minimum wage logic
Now the other side of the spectrum.
Jeez, imagine this happening.
Raising the minimum wage could lift hundreds of thousands of low-wage workers out of poverty, but it's also a job killer. Right?
Not so fast. In Washington state, small businesses are adding jobs faster than any other state in the country, according to a report from Paychex and IHS. It's also the state where minimum wage, at $9.32 per hour, is the highest.

Damn workers that ruin businesses.
uh-huh? The ones that whine and demand to be paid MORE than their worth?
FUCK YOU.![]()
Another compassionate statement towards workers.
Yet, with your complaint and I quote..." Listening to these greedy and incompetent workers whining about their lot makes me puke. "
Yet nothing about the greedy upper management.
Certainly, they deserve 300% more than workers.
That is not being greedy, not for them, that is being compensated for their work and skills.
Yet...........you think asking a liveable wage is whining.
What drift you are.
If the only way you can stay in business is to pay starvation wages, you should go out of business. Listening to these greedy and incompetent executives whining about their lot makes me puke.
If the only way that you can work is in a job that pays starvation wages, you should not be looking for work. Listening to these greedy and incompetent workers whining about their lot makes me puke.
It makes about as much friggn sense the other way around, doesn't it? The world doesn't owe you crap. You want reasonable wages, get some skills that deserve reasonable wages. Oh, but that requires effort on your part.

He was referring to skilled labor.
Do you think he believed that a 16 year old junior in High School should be paid a "living wage" to work at McDonalds?

I respect your position. I do. Not sarcastic. I respect it because I understand it.
But there are a few things you are not taking into consideration.
First....even YOU said it.....
"being compensated for their work and skills"
Don't you get it? That is EXACTLY what they are compensated for. Their skills. Their DIFFERENTIAL. Their experience. Their dedication.
There is no such thing as a low wage employee. In a business model, it is known as a low wage position. The position requires little skill. It requires little experience. It requires little dedication.
They key to a higher paying position is creating a differential for yourself. You do not want to be considered dispensable by the employer.
But as it pertains to a McDonalds clerk? Please explain what business model would say that such a position should require anything more than what a 16 year old brings to the table.
Said it before.....the issue is not the low wage. Heck, a 16 year old high school student would be thrilled with8 an hour after school. I know. I was one of them working at McDonalds.
The issue is that we have family men and women taking those low wage positions. You guys are looking at the wrong problem.

Do you think he believed that a 16 year old junior in High School should be paid a "living wage" to work at McDonalds?
Nearly 80% of those making minimum wage are over 18, not high school students, let alone junior high students.
No one I've heard of works for free. Not all companies have the same profit margin or success. Which country are you talking about?Thinking things through?
Let's see....the stock market is at a definite high and companies show a profit.
But it doesn't go to those that help the company in the bottom sector. Give it all
to the top end.
Projection is your friend. All you have is socialist rhetoric. Go start your own business and pay workers whatever you want. But your type never does.Thinking things through. If the profits were spread out to the rest of the workers that help a company stay afloat then the economy would really show it's expansion.
Oh! But that is re-distribution of wealth.
The real re-distribution of wealth is right there. The top end pockets the money and the workers get told their wages cannot increase because......! (Make up your own excuse.)
Don't tell us we don't know what is happening with all your cheap talking points.

CEOs made 60% of employee salaries? I call bull. Our high corporate tax rate sends companies off shore and high labor rates sends jobs overseas. Our tax dollars don't fund it, I don't know how you came up with that. Why do you think in the 60's, the average CEO only made less than 60% of what their workers made? Why do you think they worked their way up in the companies and our economy was better and our jobs paid living wages? Corporate law changed in the 70's to allow those corporations to move our jobs overseas, in fact, our tax dollars were provided as an incentive to move those jobs overseas. It's past time to change those laws back and provide an incentive for the corporations to bring those jobs home.
The simple answer to avoid low paying jobs is NOT TO APPLY FOR THEM. LEAVE THEM UNFILLED. Then the owner is sitting with unfilled positions. Why grown adults apply for minimum wage jobs I don't know. Leave them go unfilled. The advantage is that when one is paid minimum wage then one is expected to do minimal work. More pay = more productivity. Its called capitalism.
