Democratic Debate Thread

John Delaney was very impressive, had he been given more time, he would have showed up the field. The real takeaway to me was how much more eminently qualified all of them were to be President then Trump .
Thanks for your opinion, it will be duly noted. By the way, how's the 401K doing for ya?

What the fuck does my 401K have to do with the price of rice in China?
None of those twits were more qualified than Trump....and your 401K would suck more than you
if they get into office, you buffoon. I am surprised you had to ask that question, it was obvious.

For those fortunate enough to have something in their 401k, Trump has been great, but for the vast majority of working class Americans, for the environment and the climate, for relations with our allies, and perhaps most importantly, for the very foundations of our democracy, Trump has been an utter disaster on every level.
Only if you're a democrat socialist, Danno. You need to tear down our republic to get where you want , and Trump isn't letting you.

That’s absurd, and that line of thinking is extremism. Nothing said last night was about tearing down anything, it’s about improving what we have. Take Trumps tax cut, all it did was make the obscenely wealthy more wealthy, it helped those who least needed it. Why do Trump supporters think the wealthiest should pay the least? Why are taxpayers underwriting the poorest Americans while the wealthy get off from paying their fair share?

Just because they say that don't make it so, son. Low unemployment, higher wages, and a great economy....but you won't hear that from
your socialists that you listen to.

A great economy…….for billionaires and Wall Street.

AT&T’s CEO, Randall Stephenson, promised in November 2017 to invest $1bn in capital expenditure and create 7,000 new jobs at the company if Trump’s hugely controversial tax cut bill passed. Many opponents had slammed the cuts as a corporate giveaway that benefited the super-rich. But big firms lobbied for it, saying – as AT&T did – that it would fund job-creating expansions.

The bill was voted into law in December 2017, reducing the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. AT&T’s benefit was a tax windfall of $21bn and an additional estimated $3bn annually. But instead of creating jobs and increasing investment into the company, AT&T has eliminated 23,328 jobs since the tax cut bill was passed, according to a recent report by the Communications Workers of America. The CWA also said AT&T reduced their capital investments by $1.4bn.

Medicare for all. LMAO. You mean Medicaid for all. Liz Warren is honestly the dumbest person on the stage. Medicare for all means fewer doctors. She is so stupid.

She's in Washington and has been for a long time, what good has she done? Anyone know?
she's been there a long time? Really?I thought when Ted Kennedy died, Scott Brown was appt to replace him, then when the seat was up for reelection, Eliza Warren ran against Brown, and won....?

She is not an ''insider'', has not been there long, at all... since 2013

prior to that, she was a law professor, taught bankruptcy law...

That's 6 years, and I bet her bank account has grown exponentially since the 1st.
and she has probably picked up the DC taint....

MSNBC's Chris Hayes thundered: "i dont even know what Biden's 1st bill is?"

"cancer moonshot!" - Biden deadpanned

"Inslee, who has staked his candidacy on fighting climate change, talked about it as a dangerous event to be headed off. “We have to understand this is a climate crisis. An emergency,” he said. He’s running for president so that “on [his] last day on Earth,” he can look his grandchildren in the eye and say he did “everything humanly possible to protect them from the ravages of the climate crisis,” he said.

Warren, Inslee, and, to a lesser extent, O’Rourke have all proposed some version of industrial policy. But Representative Tim Ryan of Ohio was the first to actually utter the words. “We need an industrial policy saying we’re going to dominate building electric vehicles, there’s going to be 30 million made in the next 10 years. I want half of them made in the United States,” he said."

Inslee's the one! soundbite of the night!

Yep, worst inequality and upward Mobility ever is just great. So many people who can't get jobs because of criminal background and others who have just given up looking, so many people have to get two jobs and still can't afford housing, when the average wage increase all goes to the wealthy, it doesn't help the masses much.

Tulsi is by far the best but the party big wigs will screw her, with the help of the DNCMSM.

Beto: “FREE STUFF”

Warren: “FREE STUFF”

Booker: “FREE STUFF”

Klobachar: “FREE STUFF”

Castro: “FREE STUFF”

Inslee: “FREE STUFF”

Delaney: “FREE STUFF”

De Blasio: “FREE STUFF”

Gabbard: “End the wars. Bring the troops home.”

It's interesting how the left and the right media viewed who won and who lost. . .

The Winners And Losers of the First Democratic Debate

What I can't figure out, how did they decide who to put in which debate?

I would have thought Warren would have been in the debate against Sanders and Biden?

It doesn't make sense to me.

What sucks is that it's like a loop. The same people that decide what the American issues are then claim to be asking the candidates what is important to American people. And that's what the hell happens when you have television personalities trying to run debates.

This article states;

"The first two debates will have up to 20 candidates and likely be spread over two nights, with participation decided by lottery."

If you actually believe that they pitted the majority of the biggest contenders, including Biden and Sanders, against each other, on CNN, as opposed to MSNBC, on the Second night?

When clearly more folks will be watching?

. . . . well hell, most of the forum already KNOWS you are just that gullible. . . .

This is about advertising and money.

Not any stinking lottery.

Face it, Pocahontas, Booker and de Blasio drew the short straws. :auiqs.jpg:

Probably made the companies a lot stronger, but, don't talk about that.
It's the companies money, not the governments money....but try telling that to a socialist.
Again, Trump is one hell of a lot smarter than those socialist pigs in the debates.

We get a Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd last night. Now it's Sleepy Joe who blatantly gropes any female he can. Then there're Crazy Bernie barking.
