After Adam and Eve had children that is. I happen to think that He did. Otherwise where did Cain and Abel get their wives from?

The thing about this story is that there is no direct indication that Abel and Cain were their first two children. It's assumed but not necessary. They could have had children, grandchildren great grandchildren and so on before Cain slew Abel. Most people say that this act brought death into the world. But, the earth was already fallen when Adam and Eve left the Garden and went into the lone and dreary world in which death already existed. There is also no time frame in which Cain was in Nod. He may have been there alone for a long time before others showed up from Adam and Eve or their descendants. They all lived hundreds of years, plenty of time to grow a large population.

No one ever asks Hebrew scholars to explain their story of Genesis. They will tell you that it's all ancient campfire tales and is not to be taken as fact.

There certainly were other people in the world. Adam and Eve were the first created by God in a state of grace. He gave them a soul. They did not know evil. When Cain was driven out of Eden, he went East into the land of Nod where he married. There were people in Nod certainly but they were not created in a state of grace.

Get it now?

Here's one of the reasons why the NT is crap...
The word Et is used to describe the birth of Cain and Gam is used for Able's birth.
These words indicate an addition to them; their sisters.
Cain married Able's sister and Able married Cain's sister.

I don't know, I think billions of years old.
Ok, I was just checking. Because it seemed like you were reading Genesis literally. I think Adam and Eve are representative of the first humans capable of pondering God. Not necessarily the first two humans. The reason I believe that is the case is because of the point you are trying to make. How could all of humanity start from only two human beings? I'm not sure it could. For that matter I'm not sure any species could which is why I am a proponent of punctuated equilibrium.

You happen to lack reading ability

Gen1 ***
5 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Later on, Gen2**After day7 **
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

///Time for a garden now. Mee

6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

After the first batch. Dude with the robe wont mention it Mee will

8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Now. Go and read it yourself cover to cover.
