I was at a Pep Boys needed an oil change and the veteran owned Pep Boys had a flag flying but the flag had come off the staff and was almost touching the ground. So i got out of my car went up to the distressed flag and with some string, i retied the flag to its original glory. The owner asked why i did that for him, and i told him i was a veteran who loved this country and would never see the flag desecrated. Was one of the best days of my life....I just went to a parade this morning and I was one of the few people who stood and clapped for our American flag and the veterans who were carrying it. Well it was at the end of the Vietnam Conflict and the American youth was still anti-American, so this is nothing new.Wow,.. that's amazing that he did that but sad that he had to in the first place.
