Does anyone actually think that Donald Trump would make a good President?

He's a mover and shaker and business savvy. He's obviously succeeded in business more often than he's failed.

BTW- some undocumented immigrants ARE rapists and criminals.

Just sayin'...

When you look at the balance sheets, you see that he's a lot better at branding himself than he is at actually running businesses.

But even so, there are a lot of more successful businessmen in the world than Donald Trump. Is that a qualification for President? Mitt Romney was a successful businessman, too.

Not at all. Business and government work for opposite masters.

Not opposite. It's not that simple.

But not the same masters, certainly.
Government should be the referee and the rules shouldn't be rigged in either labor or corporations favor.

Class warfare exists and we're losing.

I agree entirely with the first half of your post.

As to the second half, class warfare will always exist, and always has.

It's as built in to human nature as the desire for power.

Trump will make an excellent president. For one thing he puts the best person for the job in the position, then listens to them instead of surrounding himself with synchophants.

Can you give me examples?

Trump has name recognition...he's characsmatic. And he doesn't mince words, saying exactly what he means. The voters are going to find that honesty refreshing, and won't even bother to listen to what he's actually saying. Blacks love Trump, right? There's a great chance that Trump could bring black folks under the GOP Big Tent. And Latinos are anti-immigrant too, right? So he may carry their vote too.

Plus, don't count out the female vote. Women *love* a toupee. If he's also sporting a merkin, you've got a bare minimum of 60% of the women's vote right there.

He definitely sounds like the candidate the GOP deserves.

About that "toupee" or "combover." Trump was on Megyn Kelly's show the other night and he let her pull his hair, mussed it up and ran her fingers through it and it was a camera close-up. You can go to foxnews .com/megynkelly and find the clip.

Well if Fox News says its real, that has to be the truth.

You've already got 50% of the women's vote right there. If he's also sporting a merkin.......be prepared for a lady landslide!

The desire for power, or the envy of the powerful? :dunno:

.
Trump will take his candidacy as far as it will go as in the past - probably as good a President as their front runner J Bush.

isn't Trump pro choice ?

.

I am now pro-life; after years of being pro-choice Donald Trump shocked attendees at the conservative CPAC conference in February when he declared himself pro-life after years of supporting the pro-abortion position. Several months ago, when questioned about his position, Trump responded by saying the public "would be surprised" by his stance and, in an interview with Laura Ingraham from Fox News leading up to the conference, Trump characterized himself as "pro-life" and he repeated that apparent reversal when he told the audience at CPAC, "I am pro-life" and pledged to fight for the reversal of ObamaCare, which contains abortion funding loopholes.
.
I am now pro-life;

can we guess - Trump is now a Born Again Christian ...

.

No, he simply EVOLVED instead of devolving as NeoCommies do!

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

I can't speak for Trump Supporters, but I do think that I understand the angst he is tapping into.

Americans see themselves as not enjoying the level of prosperity their parents enjoyed, and they see their children having less than they had. ANd they need someone to blame.

Trump gives them someone to blame.

Trump has found his scapegoat, and losers all over America are stirred up, just like they were in the 1950's against blacks, and in other countries in the 1930's and 1940's against Jews. He has no specific plan to do anything, but he is very good at ranting against an imaginary enemy of the dispossessed (the hard Right). So be it. They used to do it against the Irish, the Catholics, the Chinese, the italians, etc. The fact is that today, the majority of people are too well educated to fall for this, and the moment for bigotry against Latinos will pass. it is already pretty much passe' to rant about gay marriage, and Bubba and Billy Bob are now going after transgenders. There is nothing new under the sun.
Same people going to trumps rallies four years ago were tea bagging us.

I say that because who among the wealthy and powerful desire to reduce themselves to a life of poverty.

Who among the poor desire to be among the wealthy and powerful?

And still... who among those are willing to "work" toward those goals? :dunno:

Trump just knocked Jeb Bush out of the running. Any Republican who votes for Jeb Bush now is a hypocrite. We just found out from Trump tonight that when Jeb Bush was governor of Florida he had five sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants. Booya

The egg suckers, of course. :slap:

Fox News didn't say shit, the camera did, Merkle.

On the level of Trump, business is like gambling. Being good at it is keeping the odds in your favor, but anyone can win or lose.

I always thought business was like competitive sports. Your success is determined by your skill and by your stamina (money being stamina in this case).

Probably, as the same rioters that showed up for Ferguson, are the same rioters that showed up for Baltimore, are the same scum that showed up for Obuma's inauguration!

He could have chosen to blame everything on the Chinese, since all of our manufacturing is going over there, but Chinese are not as visible. The irony here is that he is blaming the Latinos for everything, and mostly, they are here just to pick grapes and lettuce..

You liberals seem to be awfully worried about a man you say has no chance of winning.
We're giving each other hi-fives. Its establishment republicans that are shitting their pants. As they worry he might actually win the nomination.

Democrats are praying he pulls it off.

He is not going to pull it off. Trump is a fling for GOP voters. An easy lusty hot piece of political ass that they can get off on before they have to get serious.

They know they can't bring him home, but they can take him out on a few dates. However, a few maybe too weak too quit!

B******* they're here to just pick grapes. That was true before Ronald Reagan got into the White House but he changed all that. We went from 1 million illegals to 10 million on Reagan's watch and they started taking jobs Americans would do landscaping housekeeping construction etc

But I think you might be right it might be true that there are more illegal Chinese immigrants in this country than Mexicans and we don't even know it

Down here, where I live, 35 miles from the border, it is, for all practical purposes, impossible to find an anglo citizen who is sober enough to even work as a handyman.
